Steven Davies has pledged his future to Surrey by signing a new deal.
The wicketkeeper-batsman, who has competition in his position from Irishman Gary Wilson and now Ben Foakes, will remain at the Kia Oval until the end of the 2016 season.
Davies left Worcestershire in favour of a move to Surrey in 2009 and has represented England in eight one-day internationals and five Twenty20s.
He passed 1,000 first-class runs for the third time in five seasons in 2014, averaging 40.73 in the LV= County Championship.
The 28-year-old also hit 287 runs in the Royal London One-Day Cup and played his part in helping Surrey reach NatWest T20 Blast finals day at Edgbaston, where they lost to eventual winners Birmingham Bears.
