Sussex and England batsman Luke Wright has committed his future to the club for the next four years after agreeing a new deal.
Wright will remain at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground until at least the end of the 2018 season after agreeing to a three-year contract extension.
The 29-year-old has played over 100 times for his country and has been awarded a benefit year in 2015 by Sussex after a decade at the club.
He enjoyed another excellent season with the bat in 2014, hitting 933 runs at an average of just over 50 in first class cricket, but it is in the limited-overs formats that he has really excelled.
He has made his name as a devastating batsman at the top of the order, as shown in a breathtaking innings earlier this summer when he hit 153 not out off 66 balls in the NatWest T20 Blast to set a new domestic record for highest individual score.
Wright said: “I'm delighted to have signed for the next four years at Sussex. I absolutely love this club.
“I was really proud of my performance last year but it is only really satisfying when that contributes to winning trophies. I truly believe we will over the next four years.”
Sussex manager Mark Robinson added: “Luke has been in outstanding form for a period of time now.
"He has long been seen as one of the leading one-day and T20 players in the world but he has really come into his own in red-ball cricket in recent times as he matures into a more complete player.
“So for him to commit himself for the next four years is great news for all concerned as we look forward to next season.”
