England all-rounder Ravi Bopara has been awarded a benefit year for 2015 by Essex, his sole county.
The 29-year-old made his Essex first-team debut in 2002 and has represented the club since, alongside his international commitments.
Bopara, who in September signed a one-year contract extension with Essex, has played in 108 one-day internationals, 38 Twenty20 internationals and 13 Tests.
He is part of England’s squad for the tour of Sri Lanka and could play at the World Cup early in his benefit year.
Hugely honoured to have been awarded a benefit year for 2015 by @EssexCricket thanks to all the fans that have supported me over years.#love
