Former Warwickshire captain Ian Westwood will enjoy a benefit year next summer at Edgbaston.
The opening batsman, who played eight LV= County Championship games last summer, was nominated for the honour by the club’s members following a two decade-long career at Warwickshire.
During that spell the 32-year-old - who was born in Birmingham and joined the club’s development programme as an under-11 - has twice won the championship title.
“I’m very proud to have been part of Warwickshire for more than 20 years and it’s a great honour for the members to nominate me for the benefit year; thank you all for your support,” he said.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to play here at Edgbaston with many great cricketers and to consistently compete for trophies.
“We’ve currently got an excellent squad and coaching team and I believe that there are many more opportunities for us to push for more silverware in the years ahead.”
Since making his first-class debut against India A in 2003, Westwood has scored 6,526 runs and was named the club’s skipper in 2009.
Warwickshire director of cricket Dougie Brown said: “Ian was brought in to the club at an early age and knows as well as anybody how much it means to be a Bear.
“He’s an integral part of the squad and is one of the most respected cricketers in the county game. On behalf of everyone in the Warwickshire playing and coaching team, we wish Ian a hugely successful 2015 on and off the field.”
