All-rounder Moeen Ali is adamant his "fantastic" summer with England is not going to be a flash in the pan as the build-up continues to next year's World Cup.
Moeen is part of the touring party set to fly out to Sri Lanka next month, with the 50-over showpiece just over four months away.
Moeen added the professional player of the year title at the inaugural Asian Cricket Awards to his increasing tally of personal accolades, and is now looking forward to more on-field action.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a successful summer with both bat and ball, scoring his maiden Test hundred versus Sri Lanka at Headingley and then taking 19 wickets in the five-match Investec Test Series against India.
Speaking at the Asian Cricket Awards, Moeen told ecb.co.uk: "It's been a fantastic summer, and I hope I've got a lot more left in me.
"To get a hundred on the board is nice. The whole summer has been fantastic, even from last winter. It's gone too quickly now. I'll be living that summer for the rest of my life.
"It's probably the best time for me to come into the mix. Hopefully I can pull some performances together. It will be tough as it's a good side, a good squad, and that's what you want."
Moeen was happy to have excelled for England this summer, but vows the need to pull together in Australia and New Zealand next year will be foremost on his mind now.
"We want to peak at the right time," he added. "Our aim is to peak at the World Cup and surprise a lot of people who've probably written us off."
