Steve Magoffin has agreed a new two-year deal with Sussex after he was the leading wicket-taker in LV= County Championship Division One.
The 34-year-old Australian snared 72 scalps at average of 19.51 to make him the only bowler inside the top-10 wicket-takers to average less than 20.
“I'm really pleased to sign on for another couple of years,” he said.
“I've been here for three seasons now and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I feel I'm playing really good cricket here at Sussex.
“It's been an incredible year for me personally, to do so well in the championship and contribute to the team.
“The team is heading in the right direction and if I can go close to replicating some of those efforts from the past couple of years, then hopefully we can move up that ladder a bit further.”
Magoffin moved to Sussex in 2012 after announcing his retirement from first-class cricket in Australia, where he hit the winning runs to win the Sheffield Shield in his final game for his home state Queensland.

Since arriving at Hove he has taken 192 championship wickets in three seasons and skipper Ed Joyce believes few are better than him on the county circuit.
“Steve has been the best seamer in Division One for the last couple of seasons and we're blessed to have got his signature for another couple of years,” he said.
“He's a pleasure to captain and has grown into being an impressive leader for both the younger bowlers in the squad, and rest of the team in general.”
