Vernon Philander will make his return to South Africa's one-day side for the tour to New Zealand and Australia.
The seam bowler was absent for the Proteas' triumph in the recent triangular series against Zimbabwe and Australia, as a result of a hamstring injury, but will now replace Mthokozisi Shezi in the only change to the squad.
It means that Kyle Abbott keeps his place ahead of Beuran Hendricks, who remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury, as South Africa step up their World Cup preparations with three one-day internationals against New Zealand next month, followed by five more versus Australia in November.
Meanwhile JP Duminy will lead the Twenty20 side for the three matches that fall between the respective ODI series.
Several senior players have been rested, allowing them to focus exclusively on the ODIs, while uncapped trio Reeza Hendricks, Rilee Rossouw and Kagiso Rabada have been called up.
