Mark Footitt was named Derbyshire’s player of the year last night following a season when he took 106 wicket in all competitions.
The 28-year-old also picked up the LV= County Championship award after his 84 four-day wickets were the most in the country while he had already secured a third award as members’ player of the year.
The left-armer’s outstanding season last week earned him selection to England’s fast bowlers’ camp in Potchefstroom, South Africa over the winter.
Footitt’s century of wickets were the most by a Derbyshire player since 1965 while his first-class wickets came at an average of 19 and included six five-wicket hauls.
Wayne Madsen took home a pair of limited overs awards as he was named NatWest T20 Blast and Royal London One-Day Cup player of the year.
Tom Poynton won the clubman-of-the-year award after playing a leading role in the club’s community and commercial activity.
