Varun Chopra and Jonathan Trott scored centuries as Warwickshire guaranteed a cash windfall of £225,000 in their final LV= County Championship game of the season against Durham at Edgbaston.
Having reached 413 for eight in closing the second day with a lead of 212, they took maximum bonus points from the match and ended Sussex's hopes of overhauling them for the prize offered to the Division One runners-up.
Chopra, although troubled early on by a sore back, batted with some style for 160 and Trott's punchy driving and pulling were the features of his 104 before he top-edged a pull off Chris Rushworth with the second new ball.
The third-wicket partners have been top performers at the business end of the summer.
The team's total take in prize money will be in the region of £600,000 after winning the NatWest T20 Blast and reaching the final of the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Until six weeks ago Chopra, although highly successful in white-ball competitions, was averaging only 26.50 in the championship but he has noticeably improved his figures with two hundreds and a half-century in four innings.
Trott, meanwhile, has put the seal on his return to form and good health with consecutive tons lifting his championship average to 47.69 from eight matches.
Durham's total of 201 already looked vulnerable when the home side resumed at 77 for one and ultimately it was brushed aside.
In two sessions, the only wicket to fall went to Rushworth when Will Porterfield, on 28, neglected to play a shot to a ball that took his off stump.
The reliable Rushworth bowled as well as anyone but inevitably, on a flat pitch and against a side of far more substance, this was back to reality after his 15 wickets against bottom-of-the-table Northamptonshire last week.

The other seamers had their moments but not enough to unseat well-entrenched batsmen and the spinners had mixed results.
While Gareth Breese, in his farewell appearance, succeeded in a containing role, Scott Borthwick conceded eight boundaries in nine overs.
Seven of these went to Trott, who batted 10 minutes short of three hours until he was dismissed after putting on 191 with Chopra, and soon there was a third wicket for Rushworth when Sam Hain stepped in front of his stumps.
Durham, to their credit, kept plugging away, although it was still a surprise when Chopra skimmed a drive off Paul Collingwood to Breese in a wide gully position.
The opener batted for a fraction over six hours, facing 244 balls and hitting 23 fours.
Rikki Clarke quickly followed, popping up a catch to mid-on in a good spell by Collingwood, but Jeetan Patel, with two sixes in an unbeaten 37, and Tim Ambrose saw Warwickshire to a fifth batting point - and their second-place bonus cheque - with 14 balls to spare.
Rushworth kept going to take two wickets late on, finishing the day for 5-94.
