Kraigg Brathwaite converted his century into a double as West Indies continued to build a big first-innings total against Bangladesh on a rain-affected second day of the first Test.
Overnight downpours continued into the morning and meant there was no play possible before lunch at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.
On a ground where it might be feasible to plant a six into the Caribbean Sea, there was little in the way of attacking cricket from Brathwaite or Shivnarine Chanderpaul, but the pair dug in to guide the hosts from 264 for three overnight to 407 without any further loss of wickets.
Veteran Chanderpaul, who made his Test debut as a 19-year-old against in England in 1994, turned 40 in August and played a pedestrian part in proceedings.

He plodded to 51, while his 21-year-old batting partner advanced at a slightly more eager gait to 205 not out.
Brathwaite faced 11 balls while stuck on 199, before cracking away what was the first boundary for exactly 25 overs, that statistic in itself a reflection of the strangely patient approach the fourth-wicket pair were applying.
With his maiden double-hundred, Brathwaite, in just his 13th Test, went two runs beyond Chanderpaul's highest Test score.
Chanderpaul brought up his 64th Test fifty as the end of play approached.
