England made a fine start to defending 295 to win the fifth and final one-day international against India at Headingley.
After Joe Root lifted England to 294 for seven with 113 from 108 balls on his home ground, Anderson had Ajinkya Rahane caught at point with the third ball of the innings before Virat Kohli edged to slip.
Moeen Ali then bowled Shikhar Dhawan to leave India three wickets down inside 15 overs.
When Alex Hales and Moeen departed early on, Root added 52 for the third wicket with Alastair Cook and then 108 in 13.3 overs with Jos Buttler.
The pair smashed 55 from the five-over powerplay and, despite both departing along with Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes provided impetus with an unbeaten 33 from 22 balls.

India Innings
3.26pm - DOUBLE CHANCE! - Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina are both given lives in the space of three balls off Finn. The former top-edges a hook and is dropped by an on-rushing Woakes from third man and then the latter is put down by Cook in the cordon.
3.19pm - WICKET! Dhawan b Moeen 31; Ind 49/3 - Dhawan tucks into Moeen, slog-sweeping him into the Western Terrace for the first six in India's reply, but when he tries to replicate the shot again he is bowled.
3.12pm - Woakes finishes with 0-23 from his five-over spell, replaced at the Rugby Stand End by Moeen Ali, who concedes two from his first set of six. Steven Finn then takes over from Anderson.
3.03pm - Dhawan punishes short and full deliveries from Woakes, powerfully cutting and driving for his third and fourth fours of the innings. India are 37 for two after the opening 10-over powerplay, 12 behind what their opponents were at this stage.
2.53pm - WICKET! Kohli c Cook b Anderson 13; Ind 25/2 - Anderson strikes again! Kohli pushes forward at the Lancastrian and edges to a diving Alastair Cook at slip.
2.45pm - Dhawan is more successful in the next set of six, following Kohli's lead by taking a leg-side four off Anderson. India are 18 for one after five overs.
2.41pm - Dhawan is struggling to pierce the infield here as he drives Woakes to Anderson at mid-off three times in an over.
2.34pm - Shikhar Dhawan squirts a full Chris Woakes delivery just short of Morgan's despairing dive at point. A mix-up almost sees Virat Kohli run out in the next over, although a poor throw lets him off the hook.
2.26pm - WICKET! Rahane c Morgan b Anderson 0; Ind 0/1 - Ajinkya Rahane drives James Anderson's third ball to Eoin Morgan at point. A great start for England.
England Innings
1.40pm - END OF INNINGS! - Eng 294/7; Stokes 33, Tredwell 8 - Stokes scoops Shami past short fine-leg and then a misfield hands him a second boundary in the final over. England will be happy with their total. There is something to bowl at.
1.33pm - James Tredwell drives Shami through the covers for four and, in the next, Stokes picks up a Yadav slower ball and blasts him into the Western Terrace. That was huge!
1.26pm - WICKET! Woakes b Shami 9; Eng 265/7 - Woakes cannot dig out a Shami yorker and is bowled.
1.23pm - Stokes advances down the track and heaves Ashwin back over his head for six before Chris Woakes rocks back and drives through the covers for four. Ashwin finishes with 1-49 from 10 overs.
1.16pm - WICKET! Root c Ashwin b Shami 113; Eng 249/6 - Root paddle-sweeps Shami straight to Ashwin at short fine-leg to end a superb 108-ball innings.

1.07pm - CENTURY! Root (105b 9x4 2x6) - Rooooooooot! The Yorkshireman smashes a six off Jadeja to move to his second ODI ton.
1.01pm - WICKET! Buttler run out (Dhoni) 49; Eng 225/5 - Buttler's innings comes to an end in unfortunate circumstances. He loses sight of where the ball has gone following an lbw appeal from Jadeja and leaves his ground, handing Dhoni with the simple task of taking off the bails.
1pm - Root moves to 95 by edging Jadeja through the gap between Dhoni and first slip. A slice of fortune for the right-hander.
12.54pm - CENTURY PARTNERSHIP! - Root and Buttler require only 75 deliveries to move their stand in to three figures. These two have attacked superbly. How many can England make from here? They are 218 for four in the 42nd over.
12.45pm - Root refuses to be outdone by Buttler, smashing Jadeja back over his head for a maximum before driving Ashwin through the covers. From the five-over powerplay, England struck 55 runs with five fours and three sixes.

12.40pm - Buttler is on the charge against Ashwin, who sees three balls fly for two fours and a six. The adopted Lancastrian is unbeaten on 41.
12.34pm - Buttler launches the returning Yadav past mid-on for four and then flashes him over third man for six. A great start to the powerplay.
12.29pm - Root takes a quick single into the off side and then collects another as a wild Virat Kohli throw is not backed up. The right-hander and Buttler are rotating the strike nicely. England take the batting powerplay.
12.21pm - FIFTY! Root (68b 6x4 0x6) - Root takes a single to move to his sixth one-day international half-century, reaching the milestone off 68 deliveries. England need him to build on this now.

12pm - Eoin Morgan reverse-sweeps Raina for four to move England into three figures.
11.50am - WICKET! Cook c Dhoni b Raina 46; Eng 91/3 - Cook tries to slog-sweep Raina only to get a top edge and find the hands of Dhoni.
11.49am - Root takes a single to long-on off Raina to take his stand with Cook to 50 off 76 balls.
11.41am - Mahendra Singh Dhoni turns to spin with Ravichandran Ashwin and Suresh Raina operating in tandem. The latter has a strong lbw appeal turned down against Cook, who was fortunate to get away with that. How will this pair go against the tweakers?
Looks a cracking Pitch at Headingley.
