Kent Innings

3.29pm - WICKET! Harmison c Evans b Patel 21; Kent 84/3 - As if on cue Harmison stangles a drive to Laurie Evans at forward point off Patel. That serves as an indcation of what the Bears spinners do. Do Kent's young batsmen have the answers?

3.28pm - Ateeq Javid has joined Patel in the attack and we now have spin at both ends. Warwickshire have been so effective at clamping down the rate with their slow bowlers. This looms as a key period. Kent are 84 for two after 22 overs.

3.06pm - WICKET! Northeast c&b Rankin 31; Kent 62/2 - Northeast's bright start is over. He loops a catch back to Rankin after trying to get across and work the tall Irishman to leg.

2.43pm - WICKET! Key c Patel b Rankin 23; Kent 43/1 - Key tries to pull Boyd Rankin only to get a top edge that Jeetan Patel had all the time he needed to get under and hold at midwicket.

2.39pm - Kent are 41 for none after the opening powerplay. Key is 22 while Northeast has 19 with six boundaries between them.

2.31pm - Key hits consecutive fours off Hannon-Dalby. It has not been an ultra-explosive start from Kent, but they have found the rope enough times to ensure this opening 10-over powerplay has been profitable enough.

2.22pm - Northeast effortlessly drives Hannon-Dalby back over his head for four and Kent are 21 without loss after six overs.

2.13pm - Rob Key gets going with a boundary through point off Oliver Hannon-Dalby, but the lanky seamer is finding a bit out of this wicket to beat the bat.

2.02pm - Sam Northeast plays one scoring shot in the first over from Rikki Clarke - a boundary.

Pre-Play News

1.32pm -Kent skipper Rob Key has won the toss and elected to bat first on the same pitch that was used in the Royal London one-day international earlier in the week. It looks a belter.

1.30pm - Welcome to our coverage of today's last-four clash between Warwickshire and Kent Spitfires. Could a second limited-overs final await the Bears this season or will Kent's young guns maintain their bid for a first 50-over title since 1974?
