England Women are currently playing South Africa in a three-match NatWest IT20 series. We spent some time with the team and one of the best fielders in world cricket, Lydia Greenway, to see how she approaches one aspect of her game - fielding at backward point.
Wearing Google Glass Lydia gave us an exclusive look into the techniques and skills she works on with Paul Shaw, Head of England Women's Performance.
Paul Shaw intially talks Lydia through the short session they're about to do. Lydia has a match the next day at Chelmsford in the first NatWest IT20 against South Africa women. This session is about honing Lydia's skills at backward point.
We also placed a GoPro camera, using a chest strap to Paul Shaw's chest, to allow you can see what it's like from the coaches perspective as he works with Lydia.
Lydia works through her skills, picking up the ball smoothly and throwing in over the stumps...
...through to catching behind square on the offside.
And you can see what it's like from Lydia's point of view!
That was a simple catch compared to this diving effort! Lydia Greenway is one of the best in the world for a reason.
Lydia is working heavily on her lateral movement, as you can see Paul Shaw demonstrating below.
