Matt Higginbotham will leave Derbyshire at the end of the season after not being offered a new contract.
The 23-year-old seamer found his opportunities hard to come by this season, failing to add to his six first-class appearances for the county.
Derbyshire elite performance director Graeme Welch said: “Matt’s opportunities in the team this season have been very limited, but he’s been very professional and continued to work hard throughout.
“Decisions to let players go are always tough. We wish Matt all the best for the future.”
Higginbotham made his debut against New Zealand in 2013 and claimed 14 first-class wickets during his stay at the 3aaa County Ground.
