9.50pm - That’s all from the Royal London One-Day Cup today, where all four victors secured quarter-final spots. We’ve got five more games for you tomorrow so join us then.

Here’s how Wednesday’s games panned out:

Group A

Yorkshire Vikings (155 without loss) romped to a 10-wicket win over Derbyshire Falcons (151) Scarborough, where Rich Pyrah and Adil Rashid claimed three wickets apiece before opening pair Adam Lyth and Alex Lees continued their sensational recent form.

Ian Cockbain struck a match-winning 98 not out and Will Gidman contributed handsomely with bat and ball as Gloucestershire (216/5) beat Worcestershire (229) by five wickets on the Duckworth-Lewis method at New Road.

A sensational 135 from Adam Wheater was not enough to stop his former county Essex Eagles (324) beating Hampshire (319/9) by five runs at theEssex County Ground, dumping the visitors out of the competition.

Group B

Daniel Bell-Drummond set the tone for Kent Spitfires (299) before James Tredwell and Mitch Claydon starred with the ball in a rain reduced contest to beat Sussex Sharks (183) by 59 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method and secure a home tie in the last-eight.

9.30pm - RESULT! Kent Spitfires (299) beat Sussex Sharks (183) by 59 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method at the Spitfire Ground. Tredwell and Claydon end with 4-27 and 3-26 respectively as Kent march into the quarter-finals with their unbeaten record intact. Sussex battled gamely to stay with the rate but Joyce’s brisk 47 was the best they could muster.

9.29pm - RESULT! Essex Eagles (324) beat Hampshire (319/9) by five runs at the Essex County Ground. Essex get over the line to in improbable fashion to secure a quarter-final place and end Hampshire’s participation in the competition. The visitors appeared to be coasting to victory during Wheater and Vince’s mammoth stand but, as in the Essex innings, late wickets provided a sting in the tail.

9.21pm - DROPPED! Skipper ten Doeschate fails to hold Danny Briggs at long-on. He takes the ball for the final over, from which Hampshire need 14.

Mitch Claydon bowls Will Beer and Kent are a wicket away.

9.12pm - Matt Coles takes on the Napier bouncer but is caught on the fence by Greg Smith. Hampshire are 300 for eight, still needing 25.

Tredwell now has 4-26 after dismissing dangerman Yasir Arafat, stumped for 21, and Kent can start pencilling in a home quarter-final.

9.02pm - Brilliant bowling from Napier - full, straight and Liam Dawson goes lbw for nine. Surely Essex aren’t going to pull this off???

9.01pm - Hampshire continue to wobble with the finishing line in sight as Phillips runs out Smith with a direct hit. It’s 294 for six, with 31 needed from 27 balls.

8.47pm - There’s been an lbw in each match, with Calum Haggett sending Matt Machan back for 13 as Kent take control. Meanwhile, Tom Westley accounts for the dangerous Sean Ervine and Essex seem determined to push Hampshire all the way.

8.36pm - James Tredwell claims his second wicket since the restart. Having accounted for Craig Cachopa, the England spinner bowls Ed Joyce for a 39-ball 47. Sussex are 126 for four, needing 117 more from 89 balls.

Wheater’s fun comes to an end on 135 as he sends Ryan ten Doeschate skywards and Napier makes no mistake. Hampshire need 55 from the last 10 overs but would have dearly like one of their set batsmen to see them through.

8.23pm - Vince chances his arm once too often and is caught in the deep for 79 having been deceived by David Masters’ cutter. Will Smith is the new batsman at the end of a 198-run partnership.

8.14pm - Century for Wheater off 76 balls. It really has been a marvellous effort, with nine fours and three sixes so far. Oh, hang on, make that 10…

They’re poised to resume at the Spitfire Ground, with Sussex chasing a revised target of 243 from 35 overs.

8.06pm - Wheater and Vince are really starting to tee off now, with Phillips’ last over costing 16. The stand is worth 168 and Hampshire must consider themselves favourites on 216 for two.

7.57pm - And now Vince enjoys a life. That really is an absolute shocker from Velani on the leg-side fence, the youngster having shown such sure hands earlier to dismiss Adams.

7.54pm - A rare, rare error behind the stumps from James Foster as he misses a stumping opportunity to dismiss fellow gloveman Wheater off Phillips. How costly might that be?

7.50pm - Vince goes through to his own half-century with a sprightly two and Hampshire are 170 for two after 28 overs, chasing 325.

7.42pm - Unfortunately the rain has returned at the Spitfire Ground with Sussex 82 for two. D/L calculations ahoy!

7.36pm - That’s fifty for Wheater, who reaches the landmark from 41 balls. Vince is in the somewhat unfamiliar position of playing second-fiddle, although Essex will feel he is ominously poised on 40 off 52.

7.20pm - Wheater and Vince bring up their fifty partnership from 65 deliveries.

7.08pm - Adam Wheater reverse-sweeps and sweeps Tim Phillips for consecutive fours. He and James Vince are rebuilding steadily for Hampshire, while Essex lose Tymal Mills to injury. It’s a bitter blow for the England Lions left-armer, who was cranking up some serious pace.

Luke Wright moved nicely to 21 but he falls to Doug Bollinger and Sussex are 42 for one midway though the seventh over.

6.39pm - Essex have the breakthrough as Adams flicks David Masters to Kishen Velani on the square-leg boundary, falling for 37.

And another! That’s both Hampshire openers back in the shed as Carberry sends one spiralling and Mark Pettini takes a magnificent catch on the run from long-off. Two wickets in three balls means the score is 48 for two.

6.34pm - Adams has started to put his foot on the accelerator and Hampshire are 48 without loss after eight.

They will be getting under way again at 6.40pm at Canterbury, with Kent set a revised target of 284 from 45 overs.

6.22pm - Hampshire are 19 without loss after five overs of their response at the Essex County Ground, although Graham Napier has clonked Jimmy Adams on the head with a bouncer for his troubles.

Sussex are yet to start their chase because there is rain around at the Spitfire Ground.

6.11pm - RESULT! Gloucestershire (216/5) beat Worcestershire (229) by five wickets on the Duckworth-Lewis method at New Road. Cockbain and Alex Gidman judge the match-winning stand perfectly, adding 66 from 65 deliveries to guide Gloucestershire into the quarter-finals with 17 balls to space. Cockbain ended on a magnificent 98, while Alex Gidman added to his brother’s useful contribution with 28.

5.42pm - Gloucestershire’s scoring rate has fallen sharply since Gidman’s departure but they remain well place. Cockbain in 75 not out and his team need 49 from 57 balls.

5.39pm - Doug Bollinger is also run out with a ball to spare, meaning Kent are all out for 299. Billings was left high and dry on 51 not out from 39 deliveries.

5.28pm - Important breakthrough for Worcestershire as McClenaghan removes Gidman for 44 to collect his third wicket. With Cockbain still there, Gloucestershire remain firm favourites.

5.20pm - Last man David Masters is bowled by Wood in the last over and Hampshire have pegged the hosts back superbly. Nevertheless, the will chase an imposing total of 324.

Billings is in danger of running out of partners at Canterbury. Steffan Piolet has Calum Haggett caught by Luke Wright before James Tredwell is pouched behind the stumps off Arafat, who now has superb figures of 4-38.

5.09pm - The procession continues at the Essex County Ground as Jimmy Adams takes a sharp catch at short extra-cover to help Chris Wood dismiss Tymal Mills for a duck.

At the Spitfire Ground, Yasir Arafat removes Alex Blake for 20 and Kent are 269 for six with four-and-a-half overs to go. The dangerous Sam Billings is poised on 34.

4.56pm - Cockbain moves to a half-century at New Road, with Gloucestershire needing 106 off 20 overs.

Essex are losing wickets at regular intervals now. Graham Napier is run out cheaply and they still have five overs to bat. The Eagles are 296 for seven in the 45th.

4.47pm - Essex skipper James Foster is late on a short Matt Coles delivery and loops it midwicket.

Arafat makes another vital breakthrough for Sussex, bowling the dangerous Darren Stevens for 24.

4.32pm - At New Road,   Gareth Roderick shares a vital 64-run partnership with Ian Cockbain until he is dismissed by Shantry for 28.

Kent opener Bell-Drummond's 103-ball knock ends on 83 when he becomes a first scalp for veteran seamer Yasir Arafat. The Spitfires are 190 for four with 15 overs remaining.

4.16pm - Ryder cannot add to his 87 as he fails to make his ground and is run out. That was a great knock, though! Kishen Velani hits a six and a four before losing his wicket lbw to Danny Briggs.

4.12pm - Essex are racing along at over six an over against Hampshire. Jesse Ryder, with an unbeaten 87 off just 61 balls, and Ravi Bopara are doing the damage at the moment. The Eagles are 219 for two.

3.57pm - RESULT! Yorkshire Vikings defeat Derbyshire Falcons by 10 wickets at Scarborough. Lyth and Lees finish unbeaten on 67 and 69 respectively as the Tykes coast to a 10-wicket win with 123 balls remaining. They retain their place at the top of Group A with one match remaining and confirm their last-eight spot.

3.35pm - Lyth follows his opening partner to a half-century after the rain clears at Scarborough.

3.28pm - Worcestershire are all over the visitors at New Road. They are three down for just 10 when Jack Shantry accounts for Hamish Marshall.

3.25pm - New Zealander McClenaghan, still in his first over, takes a second wicket, replicating the exit of Klinger to remove Chris Dent. Gloucestershire are in trouble on six for two.

Ben Harmison's second-wicket stand of 69 with Daniel Bell-Drummond ends when the former is dismissed by Steffan Piolet.

Rain stops Yorkshire's pursuit of victory at North Marine Road. They still need 33 to retain their place at the top of Group A.

3.21pm -  The players are back out at New Road and Worcestershire strike early. Former Pear Michael Klinger is caught behind off Mitchell McClenaghan for just two.

3.10pm - Lees advances to fifty, off 66 balls, at Scarborough.

Play is set to resume at New Road in five minutes, leaving Gloucestershire needing 216 in 43 overs.

3.04pm - Tom Westley, fresh from hitting an unbeaten ton in the Eagles' win over Yorkshire two days ago, moves to a half-century at the Essex County Ground.

The Vikings are 89 without loss chasing 152 to beat the Falcons.

2.35pm - Lewis Hatchett makes the first breakthrough at the Spitfire Ground. Sam Northeast edges the seamer behind to leave Kent 36 for one in the eighth.

Essex are 51 without loss after the opening powerplay at the Essex County Ground, while rain takes the players off at New Road.

2.22pm - Alex Lees and Adam Lyth guide Yorkshire to 64 without loss at lunch after 12 overs of their reply. The Vikings require 152 to win. Mark Footitt was taken out of the attack earlier for dangerous bowling. A blow for the Falcons.

1.51pm - Worcestershire waste seven balls and are dismissed for 229. Miles wraps the innings up with his second wicket, Charles Morris caught behind. They lost their last eight wickets for just 58 runs.

1.42pm - Worcestershire may struggle to bat out the 50 overs at this rate. Mitchell McClenaghan is bowled by Gidman, who has 4-38, with 3.4 overs remaining.

1.35pm - Sussex follow Hampshire's lead and decide to bowl first after winning the toss.

1.30pm - This is not what Worcestershire planned. Jack Shantry becomes Gidman's third victim and the hosts slip to 217 for eight. Other than Fell and Kervezee, with 89 and 80 respectively, only Whiteley has reached double figures so far.

1.24pm - Gloucestershire are finishing strongly with the ball. Payne bowls Cox for nine. That's the fifth wicket they have claimed for just 44 runs. How many can Worcestershire make?

1.13pm - Fell will not be reaching three figures this afternoon. Taylor ousts him 11 short of a ton. Gareth Andrew then follows, providing Gidman with a second wicket, to leave Worcestershire 204 for six in the 42nd.

Yorkshire have 45 minutes of batting before the lunch interval.

1.03pm -  Worcestershire lose another at New Road, Will Gidman having Ross Whiteley caught by Benny Howell for 12.

12.56pm - Alex Hughes, with an unbeaten 43, and Ben Cotton are frustrating Yorkshire at Scarborough. However, the former departs to Steven Patterson to leave the Falcons nine down.

12.46pm -  Gloucestershire finally make another breakthrough at New Road. And it's a big one as Kervezee is sent back to the pavilion for 80 by Craig Miles, ending a stand of 159 in 30 overs with Fell. The hosts are well set on 171 for three with 16 overs remaining.

12.25pm - Former Tyke David Wainwright fails to hurt his former employers on this occasion, top-edging a pull at Rashid to Jack Leaning on the boundary.

12.17pm - Adil Rashid grabs his first scalp, that of former Lancashire wicketkeeper-batsman Gareth Cross, to reduce the Falcons to 92 for six in the 26th.

Fell and Kervezee take their third-wicket partnership to 115 at New Road, the latter reaching a half-century from 66 deliveries.

11.45am - Pyrah is on fire! He takes two wickets in as many balls to leave Derbyshire 73 for five. Godleman departs for 36 before Scott Elstone edges to slip, where Adam Lyth takes his second successive catch, next ball. The seamer's figures are 3-15.

11.26am - Richard Pyrah, in his third over, ends a promising 48-run stand between Billy Godleman and Wayne Madsen by having the latter caught behind by Andy Hodd. The Falcons are 52 for three in the 15th.

Tom Fell and Alexei Kervezee are steadying the ship for Worcestershire.

10.50am - Both bowling sides have started brightly this morning. Worcestershire are now two down with just 12 on the board as Tom Kohler-Cadmore is run out by Jack Taylor.

10.43am - Yorkshire snare another key scalp at Scarborough, Tim Bresnan having Marcus North caught behind for a couple. The Falcons are four for two.

David Payne bowls Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell at New Road.

10.22am - Kent Spitfires can claim a home quarter-final with victory over Sussex Sharks later today. Here is a preview of today's matches.
