Luke Fletcher has committed his future to Nottinghamshire by signing a new three-year contract.
The seamer turned down an approach from another county to ensure he remains at Trent Bridge until the end of the 2017 season.
The 25-year-old has taken 186 first-class wickets since making his debut in 2008 and become an integral part of director of cricket Mick Newell’s squad in all formats.
Fletcher said: “I’m very pleased that the club has shown sufficient faith in me to offer a three-year deal and my aim is to pay that back with my performances.
“As the years have progressed I’ve been able to bring more consistency to my game by refining my skills and I’m happy with the cricket that I’m playing.
“We’ve established a bowling unit that can continue to improve over time and I’m pleased to be part of it.”
Newell added: “Luke is an important part of our side in three formats and he has really progressed in recent times.
“He’s become a bit of a crowd favourite and rightly so because he is making good contributions in matches.”
