ECB today announced a revision to the tour itineraries for New Zealand ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ ahead of their forthcoming triangular series with England Lions.

In a change to the previously published itinerary, New Zealand ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ will now meet in a 50-Over tour match at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff this Saturday, August 2nd.

This fixture replaces previously scheduled 50-Over tour matches between Warwickshire and New Zealand ‘A’ and Glamorgan and Sri Lanka ‘A’ which were due to take place this Saturday at Edgbaston and Cardiff respectively.

The change was agreed with New Zealand Cricket and Sri Lanka Cricket after Glamorgan and Warwickshire qualified for the NatWest T20 Blast quarter-finals (Fri 1 Aug – Sun 3 Aug) and it became clear that neither county would be able to field a full-strength side in their tour matches.

ECB would like to express its gratitude to Glamorgan CCC for agreeing to host this Saturday’s fixture which will provide good preparation for the touring teams ahead of their first meeting in the triangular series at Taunton on Tuesday, August 5th.

Triangular Series schedule:

Tuesday August 5: New Zealand ‘A’ v Sri Lanka ‘A’ – Taunton

Wednesday August 6: England Lions v Sri Lanka ‘A’ – Taunton

Friday August 8: England Lions v New Zealand ‘A’ – Bristol

Saturday August 9: New Zealand ‘A’ v Sri Lanka ‘A’ – Bristol

Monday August 11: England Lions v Sri Lanka ‘A’ – Worcester

Tuesday August 12: England Lions v New Zealand ‘A’ – Worcester
