7:33pm - That's all for today, but we'll be back tomorrow with coverage of six more YB40 fixtures and, of course, day four of the second Investec Test between England and New Zealand.
7:24pm - RESULT! Leicestershire Foxes (324/4) beat Somerset (323/3) by six wickets at Grace Road: You do not see 324 chased down too often, but Leicestershire have managed it - with seven balls to spare - following terrific centuries from their opening pair. Josh Cobb bashed 130 from 87 balls, while Greg Smith finished unbeaten on 135 off 109. A fantastic victory for the Foxes!
7:19pm - RESULT! Sussex Sharks (222/9) beat Kent Spitfires (202 all out) by 20 runs at Horsham: Kent also come up short, their final four wickets falling for 13 runs in 17 balls.
Leicestershire are on the brink of a sensational win, Smith having upped the tempo once more.
7:17pm - RESULT! Northants Steelbacks (219/6) beat Worcestershire Royals (177 all out) by 42 runs at New Road: Spriegel and Copeland finish things off for Northants. Worcestershire were firmly in contention with nine overs to go, only to lose their last six wickets for 21.
7:07pm - RESULT! Derbyshire Falcons (186/4) beat Scottish Saltires (182/9) by six wickets at The Grange: Fairly easy for Derbyshire too, who never looked like relinquishing the control they gained through Mark Footitt’s five-wicket haul.
Harmison has fallen for Kent, who look likely to fall short now.
7:06pm - RESULT! Nottinghamshire Outlaws (263/5) beat the Netherlands (174 all out) by 89 runs at Trent Bridge: The Netherlands’ resistance comes to an end. That was all very straightforward for Notts.
@SussexCCC on Twitter: WICKET...!!! RHB takes a stunning catch running backwards and over his shoulder to dismiss Tredwell 21. Kent need 34 from 20 balls. #sharks
7pm - RESULT! Gloucestershire Gladiators (260/7) beat the Unicorns (231/5) by 29 runs at Bristol: A valiant effort from the visitors, for whom Garry Park hit 47 before falling in the final over, proves in vain as Gloucestershire secure victory with a degree of comfort.
The departures of Wayne Madsen and Paul Borrington are not going to prevent Derbyshire from winning in Edinburgh.
Nottinghamshire have been unable to dismiss the Netherlands just yet, but are home and hosed with 90 required from the final two overs.
Worcestershire are now eight down following Willey's third scalp.
@SomersetCCC on Twitter: WICKET! Meschede traps Boyce lbw for 11, (Leicestershire) 278 for 4, needing 46 from 7.5 overs.
6:55pm - Andrew Hall wins lbw verdicts against Samaraweera and Michael Johnson from successive deliveries to put Northants on top at New Road.
Ben Harmison and James Tredwell are doing their best to keep Kent in the hunt against Sussex, but the required rate is rising.
6:49pm - After a trio of good overs for Worcestershire, Trent Copeland hits back by removing Gareth Andrew for 21. With Samaraweera still there, the Pears need 64 from 53 balls.
Leicestershire, who are only three down, require 56 from 54 and Kent's target is 46 off 35, although they have lost six wickets.
6:37pm - Here is a quick summary of where we are:
Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Gloucestershire are firmly on course for victories, while there is a high-scoring thriller in progress between Leicestershire and Somerset at Grace Road, where Ned Eckersley has just fallen for five.
The matches at Horsham and New Road are intriguingly poised, Adam Ball having been run out in the former.
6:32pm - Having ousted namesake Brendan Nash, Sussex skipper Chris Nash bowls Geraint Jones to leave Kent 147 for five.
@derbyshireccc on Twitter: WICKET! Chanderpaul c&b by Drummond for 54; Derbyshire 134-2 after 27.1 overs (Borrington 4*). Target 183.
6:24pm - Make that two wickets in as many overs for Somerset. Jamie Overton has trapped Joe Burns lbw for one.
Smith subsequently brings up a 68-ball hundred. Can he see Leicestershire home?
6:18pm - Somerset strike at long last! Kirby bowls Cobb for a spectacular 87-ball 130. Leicestershire are 235 for one and require 89 from 91 deliveries.
The Netherlands are eight down and on the brink.
There is a good finish on the cards at Horsham. Kent have just lost Stevens for 51 and are 141 for four from 27 overs chasing 223.
Worcestershire's overseas star, Thilan Samaraweera, has passed 50. He is surely key to hopes of a home victory over Northants at New Road.
6:15pm - Preston Mommsen ousts Derbyshire's Hughes for 74, yet that is surely too little, too late for Scotland. The visitors to the Grange need just 63 from 17.1 overs.
Lancefield's innings of 76 for the Unicorns comes to an end as he is run out.
6:07pm - Spriegel strikes again at New Road, where Aneesh Kapil is caught and bowled for one.
Somewhat surprisingly, Arul Suppiah is comfortably the most economical Somerset bowler at present as Leicestershire press on.
The Unicorns are still only two down, but the required run-rate at Bristol looks to be spiralling beyond their control.
@SussexCCC on Twitter: WICKET...!! Nash strikes to trap Brendan Nash LBW 35, Kent 119-3. Stevens 44*, Harmison 0*, #yb40#sharklove#GOSBTS
@SomersetCCC on Twitter: Some outstanding batting from @leicsccc, they are 201 for 0 loss from 20 overs.
5:58pm - Brendan Nash and Darren Stevens are giving Kent control against Sussex, sharing an unbroken 71 in nine overs to take their side to 112 for two.
Derbyshire are into three figures, Chesney Hughes comfortably outscoring the more patient Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Samit Patel has added a wicket and a second catch to his half-century for Nottinghamshire, who have the Netherlands 87 for seven.
5:51pm - Josh Cobb brings up a remarkable hundred, from 62 balls with 16 fours and a six. Leicestershire are 180 without loss after 17 overs!
Michael O'Shea has come and gone for the Unicorns.
At New Road, a useful Worcestershire partnership of 53 ends when Daryl Mitchell is lbw to Matthew Spriegel.
5:48pm - An opening stand of 118 is brought to an end as Unicorns wicketkeeper-batsman Tom New departs to Benny Howell for 35. Tom Lancefield is still going strong on 68.
5:38pm - This is extraordinary from Leicestershire - and Cobb in particular. The Foxes' one-day skipper has 85 from 50 deliveries and his side need little more than six an over from here on in.
5:29pm - Shahzad strikes with successive balls to further undermine the Netherlands, who are now 52 for five.
Leicestershire continue to find the boundary with astounding regularity, while the Unicorns - chasing 261 to beat Gloucestershire - are 83 without loss in the 17th over.
Derbyshire are another team progressing smoothly, passing 50 in the 12th over.
5:20pm - Greg Smith has followed Cobb's example at Grace Road, cracking four successive boundaries in a Steve Kirby over costing 23! Leicestershire duly end the ninth over with 99 on the board and Cobb boasting a 35-ball half-century.
The Netherlands are in trouble at 40 for three following Ajmal Shahzad's dismissal of Tom Cooper.
Kent have now lost both openers, Sam Northeast ousted by James Anyon.
@TrentBridge on Twitter: WHAT A CATCH!! @SamWood33 with a brilliant catch to remove Myburgh bowled White. #OutlawsYB40
5:12pm - That will unsteady Kent a little: Rob Key is stumped off Michael Yardy with the score on 33.
5:08pm - Leicestershire move beyond 50 in the seventh over, Cobb the dominant partner in their opening stand.
Willey has picked up a second wicket at New Road, that of Alexei Kervezee.
Derbyshire and Kent have started steadily in their respective pursuits of 183 and 223.
4:58pm - RESULT! Lancashire (295 & 373/6) draw with Hampshire (258) at the Ageas Bowl: Steven Croft reaches three figures for Lancashire, aided by some rather generous bowling in the past hour or so. The players promptly shake hands to confirm the most inevitable of draws. Both teams take eight points.
The Unicorns have made a solid start to their pursuit of 261, ending the mandatory powerplay on 40 without loss.
4:52pm - Leicestershire face a particularly daunting target this evening, but Josh Cobb has at least given the Foxes a flying start, racing to 22 inside three overs.
David Willey fell to Moeen Ali during Northants' innings, but the former has gained revenge by dismissing the Worcestershire opener for eight.
@hantscricket on Twitter: To explain that last update, Carberry has given us impressions of Alex Tudor, Hamza Riazuddin and Makhaya Ntini in his action / run-up...
4:45pm - Michael Swart falls early in the Netherlands reply, caught by Samit Patel off Jake Ball for five.
@WorcsCCC on Twitter: Moeen hits a huge six straight through the Ladies Pavilion door
4:39pm - ecb.co.uk should point out that Carberry is operating in tandem with Hampshire captain Jimmy Adams. It's fair to say handshakes will not be long in coming at the Ageas Bowl, where fielders are cartwheeling in the outfield at present.
@LancsCCC on Twitter: Michael Carberry has just finished an over of impressions of others actions. 341-6.
4:26pm - With 40 overs having been bowled in each of today's one-day games, here's a look at how things stand:
Group A
At Horsham, Sussex Sharks posted 222 for nine after being invited to bat by Kent Spitfires.
Northants Steelbacks opted to bat at New Road and made 219 for six against Worcestershire Royals.
Nottinghamshire Outlaws were put in by the Netherlands at Trent Bridge and reached 263 for five.
Group B
Scottish Saltires were limited to 182 for nine by Derbyshire Falcons after electing to bat at the Grange.
Group C
Gloucestershire Gladiators racked up 260 for seven upon choosing to bat against the Unicorns at Bristol.
Leicestershire Foxes came in for heavy punishment at Grace Road as Somerset, who lost the toss, piled up 323 for three.
4:20pm - And that's five for Footitt. Majid Haq has his timbers rearranged and 5-28 marks a career-best return for the Derbyshire man. Scotland complete their 40 overs with a trio of singles to reach 182 for nine.
Steven Crook has given Northants' innings late momentum with a breezy unbeaten 61.
@SomersetCCC on Twitter: @josbuttler is ramping it up again! 50 from 22 balls, 317 for 3 in the last over. #wearesomerset
4:15pm - The Unicorns claim a couple of wickets to round off the Gloucestershire innings. They will need to chase down 260 for seven.
4:10pm - Alviro Petersen is the third Somerset batman today to pass 50 today, but Jos Buttler is now the chief tormentor of a beleaguered Leicestershire attack. The England wicketkeeper has raced to 41 off 19 balls, containing five fours and a pair of sixes.
4:05pm - Another left-arm seamer making hay is Derbyshire's Mark Footitt, claimed his fourth wicket of the afternoon by having Gordon Goudie caught at the wicket. Scotland are 169 for eight.
4:00pm - Just like that, Tom Cooper bowled Taylor for 75 at Trent Bridge. Benny Howell and Ian Cockbain are dual half-centurions for Gloucestershire. The latter falls shortly afterwards for 53 off 30 balls.
Following that enterprising partnership between Hamilton-Brown and Yardy, Sussex have collapsed pretty dramatically. They are now 189 for nine with three and a half overs remaining. Kent left-armer Adam Ball produced three wickets in four balls across two overs as Chris Nash's men slumped from 181 for six.
@LancsCCC on Twitter: Cross's hundred - a third in the Championship off 168 balls with 12x4s and 2x6s. It's his second here.
3:50pm - After 15 fours and a six, Trego departs for 118; Nathan Buck is the successful bowler. Meanwhile, Scotland are six down, with Alex Hughes accounting for Michael Leask. The Derbyshire seamer has tidy figures of 2-18 from seven overs.
3:45pm - Cross goes for exactly 100 to James Vince and, with that, it's tea at the Ageas Bowl. Lancashire are 298 for six in their second innings, 335 ahead of Hampshire.
Jack Shantry has bowled Alex Wakely to leave Northants 148 for five. Worcestershire will be pleased with the extent to which they've restricted their visitors.
3:37pm - The game between Hampshire and Lancashire now appears to be meandering towards a draw, but Red Rose wicketkeeper Cross will not mind having just brought up his third first-class century. Joining him with three figures this afternoon is Somerset's Trego, who bludgeoned his way to the landmark off 90 balls against Leicestershire.
Patel might have had similar ambitions for Notts but the England man has been bowled by Pieter Seelaar, while Sussex have lost Joe Gatting cheaply.
3:30pm - Taylor and Patel both have half-centuries and Nottinghamshire look to be heading towards a pretty hefty total. Michael Klinger has been run out for 61 as the Unicorns check Gloucestershire's progress. With nine overs remaining the Gladiators are 155 for four.
Michael Yardy joins Hamilton-Brown back in the hutch having made 42 and Kent will want to capitalise upon having two fresh Sussex batsmen at the crease.
3:25pm - What was that we were saying about restorative middle-order partnerships? Scotland Skipper Preston Mommsen falls eight short of his half century and his team are 118 for five versus Derbyshire, while Rory Hamilton-Brown is run out for 40 and Sussex are now 155 for four against Kent. Sorry about that, chaps.
3:18pm - Scotland and Sussex are benefiting from restorative middle-order partnerships, while Taylor and Patel continue to score freely for Notts.
Things are not going quite so well for Northants, who are now four down following a second breakthrough for Moeen.
Croft has a half-century for Lancashire and Cross is now just 10 shy of three figures.
3:06pm - Skipper Michael Klinger has steadied things for Gloucestershire with an unbeaten fifty. They are 116 for three after 24 overs against the Unicorns.
Lancashire continue to plough on in the one remaining LV=CC game, taking their lead beyond 300.
At New Road, Gareth Andrew has bowled Kyle Coetzer to leave Northants 106 for three.
@SomersetCCC on Twitter:164 for 2 as @arul_suppiah is bowled for a quick fire 20. @tregs140 79*
3:02pm - James Taylor and Samit Patel have put on 50 for Nottinghamshire's third wicket.
2:55pm - Northants and Sussex have lost their second and third wickets respectively, Rob Newton and Chris Nash the men to go.
The departure of Trescothick has done nothing to slow Trego at Grace Road. He now has 76 from 59 balls.
Still no declaration from Lancashire at the Ageas Bowl. Cross may have a century in his sights.
2:43pm - Trescothick brings up his fifty, from 40 balls, with a maximum off Shiv Thakor before Trego reaches the same landmark from three more deliveries. Thakor belatedly gets revenge by ousting Trescothick for 57, but Somerset are rattling along at eight an over.
The Unicorns now have Gloucestershire three down, Alex Gidman having been caught behind off former Glamorgan seamer Aneurin Norman.
Scotland's poor innings continues as Richie Berrington edges behind off Alex Hughes.
@LancsCCC on Twitter: A third six in quick succession, this time it's Croft. He lofts Dawson straight. Lead is 259
2:34pm - Lumb is bowled by Pieter Seelaar soon after passing 50.
Somerset are almost into three figures already. This could be a long afternoon for Leicestershire's bowlers!
Northants' first-wicket partnership comes to an end on 62 as Moeen Ali removes David Sales.
Sussex's opening pair put on 63, but Luke Wright and number three Luke Wells have since fallen to successive deliveries.
@TrentBridge on Twitter: Lumb makes 50 from 41 balls #OutlawsYB40
@hantscricket on Twitter: Cross (41*) has just hit a six which is, sort of, good news because it looks like Lancs may set up a chase here. Lancs 205-5 (lead of 245)
2:28pm - Dent will not be following up his hundred last time out. The young left-hander has been run out for 20.
2:21pm - The Netherlands claim a valuable scalp through veteran skipper Peter Borren, who removes Hales for 21 to leave Notts 60 for one.
Derbyshire are now firmly on top against Scotland, Ewan Chalmers' departure making it 31 for three in the 10th.
Croft and Cross have taken their partnership past 50 and a draw appears increasingly likely at the Ageas Bowl.
2:12pm - Nottinghamshire pass 50 in the eighth over as Alex Hales starts to follow the lead of fellow England Twenty20 international Lumb.
Marcus Trescothick is getting into his stride with a flurry of boundaries at Grace Road, while Chris Dent - who hit 151 not out last weekend - has taken three fours from one Warren Lee over at Bristol.
Sussex and Northants have each made it through mandatory powerplays without loss.
@derbyshireccc on Twitter: WICKET! Madsen takes a steepler to dismiss Coleman, off Footitt, for 10; Scotland 25-2 after 5.3 overs (Chalmers 3*).
2:05pm - Steven Croft and Gareth Cross are closing in on a valuable fifty partnership for Lancashire, who now lead by 218.
There are not too many early wickets around in the YB40. Notts and Somerset have made the swiftest starts, while Gloucestershire were going very nicely prior to the wicket mentioned below.
@Gloscricket on Twitter: @gloscricket Brisk start by Gloucestershire against Unicorns but Marshall caught behind for 14. Glos 31-1 after five overs
1:54pm - Cross' fun did not last for long. He has been caught behind in Mark Turner's first over to become the first batsman to fall in today's YB40 matches.
Michael Lumb has made a similar start to the one he made against Warwickshire on Thursday night, helping himself to 18 inside the first three overs against the Netherlands.
1:50pm - We now have action taking place in seven different county matches. Scotland opener Matthew Cross has dashed into double figures after getting away with an edge to slip in the first over.
1:30pm - Coins have been flipped across the country ahead of the latest round of Yorkshire Bank 40 fixtures. Here's a summary of who is doing what:
Group A
At Horsham, Kent won the toss against Sussex and will field first.
Northamptonshire won the toss at New Road and will bat first against Worcestershire.
The Netherlands have inserted Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Group B
Scottish Saltires will bat first against Derbyshire after calling correctly at The Grange.
Group C
Gloucestershire have chosen to bat after winning the toss against the Unicorns at Bristol.
Somerset have been invited to bat by Leicestershire at Grace Road.
1:05pm - It's lunch at the Ageas Bowl where Lancashire have hit upon some wonderfully round numbers in pursuit of victory against Hampshire. The Red Rose have scored exactly 100 runs on the final morning to lead by 200 with five second-innings wickets in hand.
@SomersetCCC on Twitter: Sun is shining @leicsccc and the lads are out warming up. Play starts at 13:45, team news to follow. #wearesomersetpic.twitter.com/R440LyOVXS
12:36pm - Ervine has now accounted for both overnight batsmen as Brown is strangled down the leg side for 58. That double blow could be a decisive check on Lancashire's momentum.
@LancsCCC on Twitter: Lancs 136-4, leading by 173. Brown 58, Croft 4. 75 overs left in the day.
12:15pm - Hampshire all-rounder Sean Ervine strikes to end the prospect of a couple of landmarks. Agathangelou cut to point where George Bailey held a low catch. He was on 49 and the fourth-wicket stand with Brown was worth 99. Those two have put Lancashire in the box seat but can they capitalise? The score is 124 for four and the lead 163.
@SussexCCC on Twitter: YB40 - Bright, warm and sunny from Horsham.! Ready for YB40 action v Kent Spitfires. Gates open 12:15pm, tickets still available! #YB40
12:05pm - Incidentally, 40 of Brown's 54 runs have come in boundaries. He's clearly happy for the Hampshire fielders to do most of the running underneath the bank holiday sunshine.
12:00pm - Having stalled somewhat, Brown finally has his third half-century of the championship season. Agathangelou stands just six shy of that landmark and will be keen to mark a fine individual performance by lifting his bat once more. The stand between these two is worth 88 and, with the lead at 152, perhaps Lancashire will look to accelerate in the hour before lunch.
11:30am - Brown has scored three fours from four James Tomlinson deliveries at the Ageas Bowl and the Lancashire batsman is approaching a stylish fifty. He's on 45 and the visitors will be pleased with their morning's work so far; the score is 96 for three and the lead 133.
11:24am - The game is moving along quickly at Headingley. Trent Boult has a five-wicket haul and England are all out for 354 in their first innings. Follow all the action with our man in Leeds, Matthew Sherry, here.
@WorcsCCC on Twitter: The sun is out, so come down to New Road this afternoon for @WorcsCCCvs @NorthantsCCC in YB40 action. Match starts at 1-45. #BringSunCream
@leicsccc on Twitter: Summer is officially here, it's going to be a glorious day as two YB40 100%ers go head to head! Please come down to Grace Road! @SomersetCCC
10:55am - Lancashire hold a slight advantage after three days, thanks in no small part to Glen Chapple. The redoubtable Red Rose skipper claimed a five-wicket haul yesterday afternoon, including a run of 4-0 in six balls, and but for some hearty wagging of the Hampshire tail a third consecutive first-class victory would be well within his team's reach. First-innings centurion Andrea Agathangelou will resume an unbroken partnership of 36 for the fourth wicket with Karl Brown this morning looking for quick runs, but early wickets for the hosts will give the match an entirely different complexion.
10:45am - Here's a full summary of what's on the agenda for today so you can plan barbecues and trips to the ice cream van accordingly.
Division Two
Lancashire (295 and 63 for three) lead Hampshire (258) by 100 runs ahead of the final morning at the Ageas Bowl
Yorkshire Bank 40
Nottinghamshire Outlaws v The Netherlands
Sussex Sharks v Kent Spitfires
Worcestershire Royals v Northants Steelbacks
Scottish Saltires v Derbyshire Falcons
Gloucestershire Gladiators v The Unicorns
Leicestershire Foxes v Somerset
10:25am - Good morning everybody and welcome to live coverage of today's domestic action on ecb.co.uk. In just over half an hour, Hampshire and Lancashire will begin the final day of a finely poised LV= County Championship Division Two clash at the Ageas Bowl. The visitors are 100 runs to the good with seven second-innings wickets in hand.
If you think that makes for a sparse morning, then fear not - in the early afternoon six Yorkshire Bank 40 matches will get under way on this glorious bank holiday weekend.
Oh, and then there's the small matter of the second Investec Test match at Headingley, where Joe Root brought the locals to their feet yesterday.
