8:10pm - Unfortunately there is a damp end to today’s county action. Here are the scores:
LV= County Championship Division Two
Lancashire, who won the toss, are 121 for eight in reply to Northamptonshire's 62 all out after day one at Emirates Old Trafford.
Worcestershire are 322 for three versus Glamorgan, who chose to field first, following the first day at New Road.

Yorkshire Bank 40 Group C
Yorkshire Vikings (217/8 40 ov) beatMiddlesex Panthers (81/0 17.2 ov) by 17 runs on Duckworth/Lewis at Headingley.
7:59pm - RESULT! Match abandoned between Derbyshire Falcons (36/2 9.3ov) and Scottish Saltires at Derby. The points are shared at the County Ground, getting Scotland off the mark and taking Derbyshire to seven in their disappointing Group B campaign.
7:07pm - RESULT! Yorkshire Vikings (217/8 40 ov) beat Middlesex Panthers (81/0 17.2 ov) by 17 runs on Duckworth/Lewis at Headingley. There is no prospect of play resuming in Leeds so the hosts record their second Yorkshire Bank 40 win. They remain sixth in Group C, one place below today’s opponents.
6:51pm - Play is abandoned for the day at Emirates Old Trafford, and what a day it has been. Division Two leaders Northamptonshire were skittled for 62 as Kyle Hogg ran riot with 7-27, but the visitors fought back to leave second-placed Lancashire 121 for eight at stumps.
There is still no more action in the two Yorkshire Bank 40 matches.
6:30pm - Stumps are drawn at New Road with Worcestershire having dominated day one after being put into bat. Moeen is unbeaten on 155, four short of a personal best. He will have nightwatchman Jack Shantry for company in the morning.
With bad light remaining at Emirates Old Trafford and rain keeping the players off at Headingley and Derby, there is currently no county action.
6:21pm - Moeen reaches 150 with the first of two fours in a Michael Reed over. Samaraweera is then held at point off Jim Allenby, ending a stand of 90 and making Worcestershire 321 for three.
6:15pm - Bad light forces the players off at Emirates Old Trafford with Lancashire 121 for eight in response to Northants’ abject 62. Tom Smith and Stephen Parry have so far put on an important 20.
Rain interrupts play against at Headingley where Yorkshire are 81 for none in the 18th over, needing a revised 116 more runs in 17.4.
5:58pm - Moeen Ali strikes Michael Hogan for four to take Worcestershire beyond 300 and move to 140. He and Thilan Samaraweera have added 72 for the third wicket.
@Middlesex_CCC on Twitter: We're re-starting at 6pm with a revised target of 197 off 35 overs for Yorkshire #VikingsvPanthers
5:39pm - Northants take three wickets in as many overs, reducing Lancashire to 101 for eight albeit 39 ahead on first innings. Gareth Cross and Kyle Hogg were caught behind, respectively off Steven Crook and Hall, before Crook snared Glen Chapple for nought.
Rain now intervenes at Headingley where the hosts are 54 for none after 13 overs.
5:19pm - Yorkshire reach 50 without loss in the 10th over during their pursuit of 218 to beat Middlesex. Adam Lyth has 29 and Andrew Gale 19.
Chesney Hughes is superbly run out for 30 by Richie Berrington from point shortly before rain forces the players off with Derbyshire 36 for two in the 10th over of the game.
5:07pm - Play resumes at New Road. At Derby Scotland’s Neil Carter ousts Wes Durston for four.
5pm - Northants strike twice in two overs. Agathangelou falls for 21, pushing forward to an Andrew Hall ball that nipped back and hit leg stump, before Muhammad Azhar Ullah has Katich caught behind for 30 via a great catch from David Murphy. Lancashire are 85 for five.
4:54pm - Bad light has struck at New Road, while Yorkshire and Derbyshire - the former chasing against 218 versus Middlesex and the latter batting first versus Scotland - are under way in their respective innings.
4:40pm - Pardoe hits Marcus North for six and then four to herald a maiden first-class century. However, as is often the case, he falls immediately after a notable milestone, Dean Cosker claiming the wicket.
Lancashire are now in the lead versus Northants with Simon Katich and Andrea Agathangelou appearing well set.
4:30pm - Moeen Ali has reached a fine century for Worcestershire, with Matt Pardoe seemingly set to join him imminently. The hosts are 219 for one at New Road.
4:20pm - Maybe that is not in the offing after all! The Panthers have to settle for 217 for eight following a fine last over, which goes for just two, from Wardlaw.
In other YB40 news, Scottish Saltires have won the toss and chosen to bat versus Derbyshire Falcons.
4:12pm - A flurry of wickets has left Middlesex 214 for eight after 38.5 overs. It seems a total of just over 220 is in the offing.
3:54pm - Some more news outside of our games: Former Australia batsman Ricky Ponting, currently at Surrey, has announced he will retire from all cricket in October.
3:44pm - Middlesex have now lost Gareth Berg for 43 to be 178 for seven, while Worcestershire have resumed at New Road.
@Middlesex_CCC on Twitter: Wicket - Rossington is ct & b by Lyth for 42 & we're 166-6 in the 29th over. A good partnership with Berg there who is 35*
@NorthantsCCC on Twitter: Willey gets another wicket as Reece is bowled for 16 Lancashire are now 41 for 3
3:20pm - Wickets aplenty continue to tumble at Old Trafford; Ashwell Price is the latest to go, pinned in front by David Willey.
Worcestershire, meanwhile, reach tea in a comfortable position on 173 for one having lost the toss.
3:03pm - A strange innings is taking shape at Headingley, with Middlesex's run-rate very good despite the loss of five wickets. Dexter was the latest to go, ousted by Richard Pyrah.
Worcestershire are still rolling on against Glamorgan, with Pardoe and Moeen's partnership almost at 150.
2:42pm - There's been plenty happening in Leeds, with Middlesex 93 for four after 15 overs. Stirling, Dawid Malan, Joe Denly and Sam Robson have all fallen while Wardlaw has two wickets. Adam Rossington and Neil Dexter, on 20 and 16 respectively, are the men at the crease.
Lancashire, meanwhile, have lost a wicket in just the second over as they respond to Northants' paltry total, Muhammad Azhar Ullah bowling Luke Procter.
2:31pm - What a performance from Lancashire. Crazily, Northamptonshire have managed 42 more than Essex did versus the Red Rose last week. Despite that, they will be far from happy with 62 all out, the catalyst for which was Kyle Hogg's 7-27.
@LancsCCC on Twitter: WICKET!! White, playing to leg, gets a big edge to Prince at 3rd slip off Chapple. Northants 57-9
2:11pm - The fortunes of Worcestershire remain in stark contrast to Northamptonshire's. As Moeen reaches a fifty for the former, Kyle Hogg claims a sixth wicket when bowling Steven Crook former Red Rose all-rounder Steven Crook for 16.
Paul Stirling had given Middlesex a fine start against Yorkshire, only to be bowled by Iain Wardlaw for 30.
1:58pm - Hogg has five wickets and Lancashire seven as David Willey edges the paceman to slip.

1pm - Lancashire’s sensational start to the day continues as Hogg traps Andrew Hall, the only man to reach double figures having compiled 10, lbw for his fourth wicket.
The two games reach the interval soon after with Worcestershire well placed on 89 for one and Northamptonshire in disarray at 40 for six.
12:44pm - What a run Lancashire's bowlers are on; having dismissed Essex for just 20 last week, they have reduced Northants to 21 for five, Chapple castling Middlebrook.
12:39pm - Following a very, very brief rain delay at Old Trafford, Hogg has struck again when bowling Keogh for six. Pardoe and Moeen's stand at New Road, meanwhile, is beyond 50 and looking prosperous.
12:11pm - Pardoe and Moeen Ali are rebuilding confidently for Worcestershire, while Northants are now 18 for three with James Middlebrook and Rob Keogh dropping anchor.
11:46am - I think people need to start getting their pads out of the way! Alex Wakely is the next man to go leg before, Hogg striking again to leave Northamptonshire nine for three.
11:37am - Kyle Hogg gets in on the act for Lancashire, trapping the out-of-form David Sales lbw. Another batsman pinned in front is Worcestershire's Mitchell, Michael Hogan the successful bowler.
11:26am - Away from the action we've had some county news, with Derbyshire signing South African all-rounder Albie Morkel for their Friends Life t20 campaign.
11:20am - It's hardly surprising to see the indefatigable Glen Chapple making an early impact when having Kyle Coetzer caught at slip. Worcestershire are off to a cautious start at New Road, Daryl Mitchell and Matt Pardoe taking the score to nine for none after five overs.
11:06am - The delay in Manchester was not too long, with Lancashire choosing to bowl. Play will begin in just nine minutes.
10:46am - Some mixed news: rain at Old Trafford has delayed the start of the Red Rose's clash with Northants, but Worcestershire versus Glamorgan will begin on time. The visitors have won the toss and will field.
