And Paul Collingwood goes for Durham as well after a typically dogged innings. He becomes Tom Smith's fifth wicket after being caught by Ashwell Prince.
4.09pm - The tea interval did not bring much respite for Kent, who lose a second wicket. Rob Key is caught behind off Michael Hogan to leave the visitors eight for two and still plenty adrift.

1.15pm - It was a batsman-dominated morning session; here's how things stand at lunch:
Division One
Nottinghamshire have made a great start after being set 385 by Middlesex, racing to 108 for none off 18 overs, with openers Alex Hales and Phil Jaques both reaching half-centuries. The hosts have two sessions to make the remaining runs.
Lancashire enjoyed a good morning at Durham, taking four wickets, with Tom Smith snaring two in three balls to remove Mark Richardson and Ben Stokes. Scott Borthwick has guided the hosts to 96 for four, a lead of 168.
Yorkshire are 56 for one in response to Sussex's 316 all out on day two. Alex Lees fell just before lunch.
Sam Hain is 130 not out for Warwickshire after becoming their youngest-ever player to score a first-class century. The Bears are 383 for six, 71 in front of Northamptonshire.
Division Two
James Vince was the star of the show for Hampshire as he clattered a thrilling 240 off just 222 balls as they racked up the runs against Essex. Will Smith is 151 not out as they are 440 for three and lead by 605.
Worcestershire are making good progress against Leicestershire, cruising to 195 for one in their second innings. Daryl Mitchell is 120 not out.
Glamorgan are piling on the runs against Kent and have a lead of 176 as they took lunch at 429 for six, thanks to Jim Allenby's 100.
Derbyshire are on the back foot against Surrey as they are 73 for one in their second innings, 195 behind the Brown Caps.
1.02pm - That's lunch across the country, but it won't be very enjoyable for Yorkshire's Alex Lees. The left-hander was trapped in front by Steve Magoffin on the stroke of the interval for 22. The Tykes are 56 for one.
We will have a full run down on the state of play across all eight games shortly.
12.58pm - Notts have been rattling along in their chase of 385. They bring up their hundred off less than 17 overs, thanks to Alex Hales' fifty. Phil Jaques is also approaching a half-century; these two have given the hosts a real platform in their chase of a hefty target.

12.43pm - Allenby's fun is over at the SWALEC Stadium as he is pinned lbw by Mitchell Claydon for 100. His 204-run partnership with Chris Cooke was a record fifth-wicket against Kent, beating the stand of 186 by David Hemp and Tony Cottey at Abergavenny in 1994. Cooke is closing in on a ton of his own as Glamorgan build a hefty first-innings lead.
12.38pm - Finally Essex make the breakthrough against Hampshire and Vince's masterful innings is over. He plundered a majestic 240 off only 222 balls but holed out at deep cover off Reece Topley. His partnership with Smith was 387 runs off 71.5 overs at 5.38 at over! Who would be a bowler?
Northants' Olly Stone has nipped out Rikki Clarke for 46 and Warwickshire are 369 for six, a lead of 57.

12.30pm - There's double trouble for Durham against Lancashire. After Mark Richardson is trapped in front, Ben Stokes falls two balls later as he offers a return catch to Tom Smith. That's four wickets for the Red Rose this morning and Durham lead by 134.
There's a milestone for Jim Allenby as he goes to a well-made hundred, with Glamorgan piling on the runs against Kent while both men are raising their bat for Worcestershire against Leicestershire. Tom Fell makes it to 50 while Daryl Mitchell makes a 160-ball century.
WICKET. Richardson reaches forward but is struck on the pad by Smith and is given out LBW. 62-3, the lead stands at 134.
— Durham Cricket Club (@DurhamCricket) June 17, 2014
12.15pm - All sorts of records are falling at the Ageas Bowl as Vince and Smith make hay. Their unbroken stand of 353 is the highest against Essex. Their lead is a mammoth 542.
12.10pm - Are Notts going for this run-chase? Set a target of 385 in 85 overs they have made a lightning start, going to 34 for no wicket off 5.2 overs.
Yorkshire have made a serene start to their response to Sussex's 316 as they are 24 without loss.
Derbyshire have also had a trouble-free start to their second innings at 22 for none, but they are still 246 behind.
Double-century for @vincey14! His first for Hampshire! He has also become the first player to score 1,000 runs in the #LVCC.

12pm - What a moment for Warwickshire's Sam Hain! The 18-year-old raises his bat for a maiden first-class century - becoming the youngest man to do so for the Bears. He has scored nine fours and one six in a fine innings, which has helped his side to a slender first-innings lead of Northamptonshire.
A boundary from Clarke brings up the 300 and secures another bonus point for the Bears. Warwickshire 303-5 #YouBears
— Warwickshire CCC (@CricketingBears) June 17, 2014
11.50am - Lancashire are enjoying a good start to the day at Durham as they pick up a second wicket of the morning. Keaton Jennings is the man heading back to the shed after Glen Chapple forced an edge to second slip. The hosts lead by 108.
Century for @WillSmith_2! Brilliant knock - his first ton for Hampshire! We are now 317-2, a lead of 482 runs. #LVCC
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) June 17, 2014
11.38am - James Vince is still flying at the Ageas Bowl as he has moved to a career-best 182 of 181 balls. Will Smith is going nicely at the other end too; he's six away from a century.
Middlesex have declared at Trent Bridge after Steven Finn was dismissed. They have set Notts a target of 385.
Glamorgan have passed the 350 mark and picked up a 7th bonus point for this match. Allenby is on 71, Cooke on 63. #GoGlam

Tremlett's fun at Derby is over after he went for one shot too many and Jade Dernbach followed for a duck as the Brown Caps were bowled out for 421 - a lead of 268.
Middlesex are pushing for a declaration. Paul Stirling has gone to 50 but Toby Roland-Jones and Tim Murtagh have gone at the other end.
DROP! Jones finds Fell's edge and Eckersley drops his second of the match at first slip. @WorcsCCC 86-1

11.10am - There's some early action at Trent Bridge as John Simpson misses out on a half-century for Middlesex as he was bowled by Harry Gurney for 49. The visitors will be going for quick runs this morning. They are 230 for six, a lead of 343.
Surrey are not messing about this morning either, they have posted 400 and Chris Tremlett has plundered two sixes against Derbyshire.
11am - The bells have been rung, the players are out all over the country. There are no weather issues so all eight games will start on time. This is a pivotal day in a number of matches.
