Another side to have lost a second wicket in quick succession are Hampshire, David Masters luring Michael Bates into an edge behind.

2.17pm - Lancashire continue to chip away at Durham, with Kyle Hogg trapping Michael Richardson lbw. Warwickshire are looking in even better shape as Chris Woakes has Richard Levi taken behind. It's not just bowlers smiling, though; Rob Key has just moved beyond 50 for Kent.

1.05pm - Here's how things stand as the players head off for a bit of lunch around the country.
Division One
Nottinghamshire are 27 for one on day two at Trent Bridge, in reply to Middlesex's massive 505. Eoin Morgan fell nine runs short of a double hundred for the visitors.
Durham have reached 96 for three after being inserted to bat by Lancashire at Emirates Durham ICG this morning.
Northamptonshire are 97 for three having elected to bat against Warwickshire at Wantage Road.
Division Two
Derbyshire have reached 77 for three against Surrey at the 3aaa County Ground after deciding to have a bat this morning.
Kent also chose to post a total on day one at the SWALEC Stadium, and they are 80 for one against Glamorgan.
Essex have asked Hampshire to bat at the Ageas Bowl and the hosts are 82 for two after the first session.
Leaders Worcestershire lost the toss at Grace Road and have been restricted to 66 for three by bottom club Leicestershire.
