Durham's Scott Borthwick and Yorkshire's Adam Lyth starred by hitting double-centuries in the day's LV= County Championship action.

Durham’s Scott Borthwick made 216 before Mark Wood helped reduce Middlesex to 69 for four at the Emirates Durham ICG.
Stuart Broad claimed three wickets but Ed Joyce’s unbeaten century took Sussex to 270 for eight at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground after Nottinghamshire were dismissed for 452.
Adam Lyth and Alex Lees, with 230 and 138 respectively, amazingly helped Yorkshire to 546 for three declared before Northamptonshire, set 432 to win, were reduced to 66 for three at Wantage Road.
Lancashire were struggling on 22 for two after Alviro Petersen’s 155 led Somerset to 420 at Emirates Old Trafford.
Division Two
Rory Burns’ half-century helped Surrey to 134 for two after Moeen Ali’s 162 aided Worcestershire's 476 at the Kia Oval.
Derbyshire are 166 for seven in response to Hampshire’s 388 at the Ageas Bowl.
Glamorgan are none without loss in their second innings, 36 behind Essex at the Essex County Ground following James Foster’s fine 86.
Gloucestershire reached 12 for none in reply to Leicestershire’s 269 at Grace Road.
6.32pm - Ed Joyce has moved to a superb century, reaching the milestone with a pull off Ajmal Shahzad that continues his fine campaign.

Somerset are 312 for three against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford, with Alviro Petersen unbeaten on 109.
Yorkshire are 237 without loss in their second innings at the halfway stage against Northamptonshire, 122 ahead courtesy of unbeaten centuries from openers Adam Lyth and Alex Lees.
Division Two
Worcestershire, for whom Moeen Ali will resume on 138, are 329 for four against Surrey at the Kia Oval.
Derbyshire asked Hampshire to bat at the 3aaa County Ground and half-centuries from openers Jimmy Adams and Will Smith and wicketkeeper Adam Wheater helped them to 332 for seven .
Glamorgan were 244 all out against after opting to make first use at the Essex County Ground. Essex left-arm seamer Reece Topley did the bulk of the damage with figures of 6-61.
