3.28pm - Hampshire Adam Wheater, Worcestershire's Moeen and Somerset's Nick Compton bring up half-centuries, as does the Birmingham Bears' Will Porterfield in the NatWest T20 Blast.
It's in Chester-le-Street the runs continue to flow quickest, though, with Stoneman past 150 and Borthwick having reached threee figures. There is a rare bright spot for the bowlers in Sussex, Hobden striking again when ousting James Taylor for 29.
3.12pm - Alviro Petersen brings up his half-century and Yorkshire's wipe out Northants' lead without losing a wicket, with Adam Lyth and Alex Lees in charge. It's a batsman's game.
2.59pm - Moeen Ali is edging towards 50 for Worcestershire, who have lost Mitchell. The opener was castled by Chris Tremlett.
2.45pm - Matt Prior is in on the action again, holding Michael Lumb off Luke Wright for 39 to leave Notts three down.

50 up for Lyth. @Yorkshireccc are now 82/0 trailing by 33 runs #GoSteelbacks

2.24pm - Daryl Mitchell's fine season continues as he brings up a half-century, as does Will Smith after seeing Adam Wheater dropped at the other end in Southampton. That denied Palladino a fourth. Durham are now beyond 200, with Scott Borthwick passing 50.
.@mark23stone and @Borthwick16 have now put on 107 for the second wicket. Great entertainment for the crowd here at Chester-le-Street.

BREAKING NEWS! Leicestershire Foxes have won a toss! :) We will bowl first against Birmingham Bears
— Leicestershire CCC (@leicsccc) June 1, 2014
2.04pm - Palladino has another and it's a BIG one! James Vince, who has specialised in runs this season, has fallen for four, Stephen Moore taken a fine, one-handed catch at slip.
Incredible effort at deep third man from Nash who just fails to cling on to a chance as Taylor top edges Hobden. Notts 116/2 #GOSBTS
— Sussex CCC (@SussexCCC) June 1, 2014
1.58pm - Derbyshire are well and truly in the game now, Palladino striking again to oust Joe Gatting. Glamorgan, meanwhile, have lost Ben Wright, who has edged Reece Topley to slip.
Bragg completes a 113-ball fifty as he passes 500 Championship runs for the season. Glam 94/2.

1.45pm - Derbyshire, who bowled without luck in the morning, have struck immediately after lunch, Tony Palladino trapping Jimmy Adams lbw.
1.04pm - Stoneman ends the session on 94 not out. He may not have got to a century in a session, but what an innings all the same. Here are the scores around the country:
Division One
Nottinghamshire are 111 for two thanks to Phil Jaques’ 67 having been asked to bat by Sussex at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground
Durham, powered by Mark Stoneman’s remarkable 94, are 140 for one after choosing to bat versus Middlesex at the Emirates Durham ICG
Marcus Trescothick continued his fine recent form, yet fell on the stroke of lunch for 55 as Somerset reached 104 for two against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford
Yorkshire are 43 without loss in their second innings, still trailing Northamptonshire by 73 at Wantage Road.
Division Two
Worcestershire, for whom in-form Daryl Mitchell is 34 not out, are 129 for one against Surrey at the Kia Oval
Derbyshire’s decision to bowl backfired as Hampshire reached 110 without loss at the Ageas Bowl thanks to Jimmy Adams’ 60.
Glamorgan, who chose to bat, are 83 for two against Essex at the Essex County Ground, with Ben Wright unbeaten on 44.

12.58pm - Simon Kerrigan gets a prized scalp when bowling Trescothick for 55, while Jaques edges the highly-rated Matt Hobden to Matt Prior at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.
12.51pm - Marcus Trescothick and Jimmy Adams are the latest batsmen to reach fifties, with Stoneman now into the nineties.
12.36pm - Gareth Batty has struck at the Kia Oval, bowling Pardoe, but Moeen Ali has quickly picked up the baton in racing beyond 20.
Glam 62/2 as Rudolph departs l.b.w. to Smith.

12.30pm - Stoneman is on to 75 already. He couldn't get a hundred before lunch, could he?
12.19pm - The batsmen strike back, Phil Jaques and Matt Pardoe moving to half-centuries. Meanwhile, Yorkshire have begun their second innings.

Wicket - Chambers is caught off Rashid for 17. Northants finish on 251 all out, leading by 115 runs #GoSteelbacks
— Northants Cricket (@NorthantsCCC) June 1, 2014
12.07pm - Ah, some more wickets. That feels better, although not for Johann Myburgh, Keaton Jennings and Alex Hales. Tom Smith has trapped Myburgh lbw at Emirates Old Trafford, Toby Roland-Jones castled Jennings in Chester-le-Street and James Anyon has Hales caught at slip at Hove.
12pm - Ben Duckett, having just brought up his half-century, has succumbed to Adil Rashid. Northants, though, lead by 106 with a wicket in hand.
11.54am - I get the feeling it will be a day of batting milestones. Mark Stoneman is the first to get to fifty, off just 47 balls. Cracking stuff from the Durham opener.
11.26am - It's a lovely day and, as such, bat is dominating ball with Durham, Hampshire, Somerset, Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire all going well.
James Hildreth has been left out of the squad to be with his wife Aimee as they are expecting their first child any day now. #wearesomerset

Wicket - Butler is caught for 14 off Patterson. Northants are 200/8 #GoSteelbacks
— Northants Cricket (@NorthantsCCC) June 1, 2014
11.06am - How pleased Essex must be to have Reece Topley back, the left-arm seamer bowling Tom Lancefield with a fine yorker.
