Surrey have made their second signing for the NatWest T20 Blast in the space of four days with the capture of South Africa spinning all-rounder Robin Peterson.
Following the arrival of Ireland international Kevin O'Brien on Tuesday, head coach Graham Ford has moved quickly to secure the services of compatriot Peterson, formerly of Derbyshire, for the whole campaign.
The 34-year-old, who has played 15 Tests, 77 one-day internationals and 20 Twenty20s for the Proteas, is available for Surrey's opening South Group game against Sussex Sharks at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground tonight.
He features in a 12-man squad which also includes O'Brien, Azhar Mahmood and Aneesh Kapil, who could make his Surrey T20 debut.
However, Zafar Ansari and Gareth Batty, with finger and elbow injuries respectively, are unable to play.
