Ireland's second one-day international against Sri Lanka was abandoned due to rain, handing the visitors a 1-0 series victory.
Umpires Richard Kettleborough and Richard Smith as well as match referee Chris Broad called off the fixture in Dublin after the pitch failed a 2pm inspection.
Ireland lost the first match on Tuesday by 79 runs courtesy of a fine performance from Sri Lanka spinner Ajantha Mendis, who hit 18 not out and then took 3-27.
Ireland captain Will Porterfield said: “It’s disappointing we didn’t get any cricket in, but that’s the way things go. You cannot control the weather and it is unfortunate.”
