6.10pm – Here’s the end-of-game scores from today, not forgetting Division One leaders Warwickshire yesterday beat Middlesex by an innings and 47 runs at Edgbaston.

Division One

Durham, who were made to follow on, drew with Yorkshire at the Emirates Durham ICG. Having earlier today taken Durham’s last two first-innings wickets, the White Rose were blunted by Keaton Jennings’ unbeaten 54 and Paul Collingwood in a score of 100 for four.

Somerset played out a stalemate with Nottinghamshire, who finished on 322 for four with Phil Jaques on 150 having shared an unbroken 106 with Riki Wessels. First-innings centurion Samit Patel earlier made 75.

Lancashire drew with Sussex on a rain-ruined day at Emirates Old Trafford. After the visitors declared on their overnight 216 for five to set a victory target of 324, the Red Rose reached 19 for no wicket in the 8.4 overs possible.

Division Two

Kent beat Surreyby eight wickets at the Spitfire Ground. The visitors added 33 to their overnight 170 for nine, setting a paltry victory target of 54.

Glamorgan held Division Two front-runners Worcestershire to a stalemate at the SWALEC Stadium, denying twin-centurion Daryl Mitchell victory. Resuming on 14 for one, Will Bragg’s unbeaten 91 guided the Welsh county to safety at 229 for seven.

Essex, thanks to Greg Smith’s 85 and an unbeaten 41 from captain James Foster, drew with Leicestershire at the Essex County Ground. The hosts moved from 101 for one overnight to 271 for five when the sides shook hands.

6.08pm – RESULT! Glamorgan (155 & 229/7) draw with Worcestershire (240 & 296) at the SWALEC Stadium. Bragg’s unbeaten 91 secures a stalemate for the Welsh county against the Division Two leaders.

5.53pm – Bragg and Graham Wagg are holding firm, having survived three overs since Wallace was out.

5.39pm – Could there be a late twist at the SWALEC as Saeed Ajmal traps Wallace in front for 47? His stand with Bragg was worth 97. It appears three overs were lost to that rain delay so just under eight are left. Worcestershire need three more wickets to win.

5.33pm – RESULT! Durham (388 & 100/4) draw with Yorkshire (589/8) at the Emirates Durham ICG. Jennings and Collingwood, with 54 and a 91-ball 14 respectively, ensure a stalemate between last year’s top two. Defending champions Durham are still without a win though.

5.28pm – Jennings goes to a 158-ball fifty that looks to have made the game safe.

The covers are coming off in Cardiff so there could be further play there.

5.23pm – Rain forces the players off at the SWALEC Stadium. It’s quite a heavy downpour so that could end the game.

5.15pm – Will Bragg and Mark Wallace guide Glamorgan beyond 200 in the second innings, with their seventh-wicket stand worth 83. Glamorgan need a theoretical 180 more to win.

5.04pm – RESULT! Somerset (402/9d) draw with Nottinghamshire (440 & 322/4) at Taunton. Jaques does not add to his 150 and Wessels closes on 40, Together they put on an unbroken 106.

4.57pm – RESULT! Essex (281 & 271/5d) draw with Leicestershire (433) at the Essex County Ground. Resistance from James Foster and Kishen Vilani, who end on 41 and 21 respectively, persuades the sides to shake hands. Leicestershire are still looking for their first win.

4.50pm – Perhaps Yorkshire are starting to accept a draw? England wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow, who isn’t keeping in this game, is bowling for the first time in senior cricket. His medium-pacers don’t look up to much, but you never know.

4.46pm – Former Australia batsman Jaques raises 150! He and Riki Wessels have shared a century partnership.

4.29pm – Notts, guided by centurion Phil Jaques, reach 300 for four in their second innings. With Somerset trailing by 344, a draw seems certain at Taunton.

4.22pm – In the four remaining games batsmen are digging in, not least Keaton Jennings and Paul Collingwood. Durham have played out 18 maidens in the 33 overs bowled by Yorkshire.

4.12pm – Here’s our story on a new Middlesex deal for England Lion Ollie Rayner, pictured below.

4.01pm – Although tea is yet to be taken at Taunton, the evening session starts at the Emirates Durham ICG. Yorkshire need six wickets to defeat Durham.

3.46pm – Tea also arrives at the Essex County Ground and the SWALEC Stadium. Essex are 225 for eight in their second innings, 76 ahead of Leicestershire, and Glamorgan are 149 for six, chasing 382 to beat Worcestershire.

3.38pm - RESULT! Lancashire (191 & 19/0) draw with Sussex (298 & 216/5d) at Emirates Old Trafford. The weather denies Sussex the chance of bouncing back from last week's heavy defeat to Warwickshire.

There is no sign of a late declaration from Nottinghamshire yet at Taunton. The visitors, 300 ahead on 262 for four, are content to keep batting.

3.28pm - Will Bragg is trying his best to guide Glamorgan to a draw at the SWALEC Stadium. The 27-year-old reaches a half-century off 185 balls to help his side to 142 for six.

3.16pm - First-innings centurion Michael Richardson is the latest batsman to depart for Durham. He falls to Adil Rashid for the second time in the match, this time Hodd taking the catch rather than producing a stumping.

Leicestershire reignite their victory hopes at the Essex County Ground. The hosts lose Ben Foakes to Charlie Shreck for 12 to leave them five down and just 61 runs ahead.

3.03pm - Sangakkara goes for 14. Just as the 36-year-old was looking solid, he slashes at a wide one from Ryan Sidebottom and, like in the first innings, Adam Lyth takes the catch at second slip.

2.57pm - The action at Emirates Old Trafford is due to start at 3pm, with 43 overs left to be bowled.

Durham duo Sangakkara and Jennings are frustrating Yorkshire now.

2.46pm - Century for Phil Jaques. The Australian opening batsman keeps his fine early-season form going, registering his maiden ton for Nottinghamshire.

2.34pm - Kumar Sangakkara is living dangerously at the moment. The Sri Lankan left-hander, who lasted just two balls in the first innings, survives a huge caught behind appeal off Brooks before edging to slip, where Plunkett spills a difficult chance diving to his left.

Glamorgan lose a sixth wicket at the SWALEC Stadium, Jim Allenby bowled by Charles Morris.

2.21pm - Yorkshire make two breakthroughs in as many balls at the Emirates Durham ICG. Firstly, Plunkett diverts a straight drive from Keaton Jennings onto the stumps to run out Mark Stoneman at the non-striker's end and then Scott Borthwick edges a viscious short ball from Jack Brooks behind. Can the White Rose push for victory now? There is still plenty of time left.

Nottinghamshire's Patel departs for 75, bowled by Johann Myburgh, while rain rescues Essex against Leicestershire.

2.08pm - Taunton continues to be a happy hunting ground for Samit Patel, who follows his first-innings hundred with a half-century in his second dig. The draw is the likely outcome with Nottinghamshire 239 ahead on 201 for three.

Anthony Ireland snares Mark Pettini for 13, leaving Essex on 188 for four with a lead of 36 over Leicestershire.

1.56pm - Yorkshire enforce the follow-on.

At the SWALEC Stadium, spinner Saeed Ajmal removes Stewart Walters to leave Glamorgan, in pursuit of an unlikely 382, struggling on 90 for five.

1.45pm - Liam Plunkett wraps up the Durham innings on 388, having Graham Onions caught behind by Andy Hodd for 21 off 100 balls. Durham are expected to be asked to follow on, 201 runs behind.

1.37pm - The players are back out at the Emirates Durham ICG, with Yorkshire needing one more wicket to enforce the follow-on. Durham require another 54 runs to make their opponents bat again.

1.16pm - RESULT! Kent (435 & 54/2) beat Surrey (285 & 203) by eight wickets at the Spitfire Ground. Surrey's miserable form continues as Daniel Bell-Drummond and Brendan Nash see Kent to their first win of the campaign.

1.01pm - Lunch at the SWALEC Stadium and Worcestershire are in sight of a third win on the spin.Glamorgan are 90 for four, although Will Bragg and Stewart Walters have started to show some fight. Both batsmen are unbeaten on 30.

1pm - Greg Smith is run out just before lunch for 85. A bitter blow for the home side as they head into the break at 170 for three, which is effectively 18 for three. The new ball is due in 18 overs too.

12.52pm - Confirmation that it is lunch in the game between Durham and Yorkshire. The hosts are 386 for nine and 54 runs shy of avoiding the follow-on.

12.50pm - Lunch is called at Taunton as the rain returns again. The chances of a positive result are growing ever slimmer. Notts are 151 for three with the unbeaten Phil Jaques on 77 alongside Samit Patel, who has made 24.

12.48pm - Kent do not look like they are going to chase down this small target of 54 the easy way. Skipper Rob Key becomes Aneesh Kapil's second victim and the hosts are 11 for two.

12.43pm - Play is up and running again at Taunton with six overs deducted from the day. The weather has returned at Durham, however, as the players head off for what will probably be lunch.

12.37pm - Durham look like they will fail to avoid the follow-on as Kane Williamson turns one through Harrison. It's a belated blow for Yorkshire, but revives their spirit.

12.32pm - Play has resumed at the Spitfire Ground with Kent needing 54 to beat Surrey. It's not a great start for the hosts though as Sam Northeast is bowled first ball back.

12.31pm - Essex have now moved into a lead against Leicestershire with Mickleburgh and Smith still going strong. Their second-wicket stand is now worth 151. At Emirates Old Trafford they have taken an early lunch.

12.27pm - The players are heading back out at Durham.

12.20pm - Some better news filtering in from around the grounds. Play is due to resume at Durham at 12.30pm with nine overs having been lost. Meanwhile, at the Spitfire Ground, play is set to start again at 12.35pm.

12.05pm - They're off again at Taunton with Nottinghamshire 140 for three while there is better news at Chelmsford with play due to resume. That apparent passing shower at Canterbury, though, is worse than first feared.

12.02pm - Shantry bowls Murray Goodwin and Worcestershire are in a rush to try and avoid any weather to claim victory at the SWALEC Stadium. Glamorgan are 38 for four.

11.56am - The rain is now a problem at the Emirates Durham ICG. The players are heading off with Durham 383 for eight - still needing 57 to avoid the follow-on.

11.55am - Spits of rain at Durham, although the greater concern for the umpires at the moment is the ball. They're going to change it. Yorkshire will hope it brings some success.

11.46am - Kent's chase lasts just one ball before the players are forced off by the weather. It looks as though it might just be a passing shower at the Spitfire Ground though.

11.43am - Rain has stopped play in Chelmsford with Essex 125 for one.

11.40am - Yorkshire are still to find a breakthrough this morning at Durham. Harrison and Graham Onions have been untroubled so far. With rain forecast for later in the day Durham are slowly edging towards a position where they can save the game.

11.36am - The rain has now swept in at Emirates Old Trafford and the players are off.

11.34am - Things look far rosier for Worcestershire as they've grabbed their second wicket of the morning. Jack Shantry traps Gareth Rees lbw with his first ball and Glamorgan are 26 for three.

11.32am - The weather is starting to play its part. They're off at Taunton due to rain to further limit the chances of a result between Somerset and Nottinghamshire. At Emirates Old Trafford the umpires have already been talking about the light. They're staying on for now with Lancashire 19 for none.

11.27am - Surrey's last pair of Jade Dernbach and Matt Dunn have increased their lead to 48 runs. Dernbach has hit Mitch Claydon for six and followed it with a boundary. Frustration for Kent.

11.12am - Jaik Mickleburgh and Greg Smith have both reached their half-centuries at the Essex County Ground. Their stand is also now above 100 as they look to deny Leicestershire a rare away win.

11.09am - Glamorgan nightwatchman Dean Cosker has lasted just four balls into the day. Gareth Andrew finds his edge and the hosts face a long day to save the game at 14 for two.

11.01am - Jamie Harrison has guided the first ball of the day at Emirates Durham ICG for four through third man. Durham need a lot more of that if they are to avoid the follow-on.

10.59am - There are a few dark clouds about around the country today, but most games appear set to begin on time.

10.57am - Confirmation that Sussex have declared overnight so they will have 96 overs to try and bowl Lancashire out at Emirates Old Trafford - weather permitting. Lancs must chase 324 to grab their first win of the season.

10.48am - Before we get started for the day we have had some early-morning news with Northamptonshire revealing that Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer will lead the Steelbacks in defence of their NatWest T20 Blast title.

10.40am - Good morning and welcome to the final day of this round of LV= County Championship fixtures. Here's how all the games stand before the start of play:

Division One

Durham begin the day at 361 for eight and needing another 79 runs to avoid the follow-on after Yorkshire’s 589 for eight declared at the Emirates Durham ICG.

Sussex are likely to consider an overnight declaration as they start on 216 for five in their second innings, with a lead of 323 against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford.

Nottinghamshire are 97 for two in their second innings against Somerset at Taunton, a lead of 135 with Phil Jaques unbeaten on 55.

Warwickshire beat Middlesex by an innings and 47 runs to secure a second consecutive championship win and go top for the time being. In-form batsmen Sam Robson and Chris Rogers scored 68 and 82 respectively but the visitors collapsed from 155 for one to 248 all out in their second innings.

Division Two

Kent are on the verge of victory against Surrey at the Spitfire GroundThe visitors reached stumps on 170 for nine in their second innings - a slender lead of 20. Kent off-spinner Adam Riley has eight wickets in the match.

Essex are 101 for one in their second innings against Leicestershire at the Essex County Ground, 51 behind Leicestershire but boosted by an unbroken stand of 98 between Greg Smith and Jaik Mickleburgh.

Glamorgan are 14 for one in their second innings against Worcestershire at the SWALEC Stadium, and face a huge battle to save the game on the final day due to a 367-run deficit. Visiting captain Daryl Mitchell was unbeaten on 151 when he declared - his second century of the match.
