Hartley returned to the top of the Kent Premier League table after victory over Beckenham while Bexley, who reigned supreme last week, slumped to a heavy defeat at Bickley Park following a magnificent spell of 8-18 from Nayan Doshi.
Having elected to bat at Foxgrove, Beckenham, were unfortunate that their innings was interrupted on a number of occasions by heavy passing showers.
Despite a colourful knock of 60 from Alex Blake and 46 by Johan Malcolm, their innings never gained great momentum and with Matt Coles returning figures of 6-36, Beckenham were bowled out for 182 in the 50th over.
The rain also curtailed the length of the game, so Hartley had some 55 minutes plus 20 overs to chase their target, or Beckenham to take 10 wickets for a result.
A useful 46 from Sam Billings set them on the way and a hard hitting 68 by Matt Coles took them close to the target and despite the efforts of Brent Arnel, taking 4-59, Hartley crossed the line with seven down and an over or two to spare.
Bickley Park, and Nayan Doshi in particular, came to life as they entertained Bexley. The home side elected to bat against a slightly depleted Bexley side, with Adam Ball, Adam Riley and Min Patel all absent.
Chris Coulson top scored with an unbeaten 51, and James Watson, Dan Magin, Michel Ridley and Alex Darroch all reached their thirties as Bickley set Bexley 236 to chase, George Wells taking 4-46.
At 43-1 Bexley looked well set when Bickley produced their trump card and introduced Nayan Doshi into the attack. He proved too much for the Bexley line up and his exceptional figures of 12-2-18-8 saw a Bexley collapse as they were bowled out for 103 in 40 overs.
Elsewhere there was a win for Lordswood, a winning draw for Blackheath and the game between Bromley and Sevenoaks Vine was incomplete due to the breaks for rain.
Dan Masters with 4-40 held Sibton Park in check after the home side had elected to bat. Only Andy Allon with 65 got set as Sibton could only reach 157 for their visitors Lordswood to chase. With newcomer Zac Elkin reaching an unbeaten 68, and Chris Piesley 56 also not out, Lordswood romped home in the 40th over for the loss of just one wicket.
Blackheath at last found some form with the bat as they visited Whitstable. Electing to bat, Australian newcomer Aidan Blizzard set the tone with a lively 62 which was followed by a valuable 79 by Warren Lee and 48 by Jahid Ahmed as Blackheath set their hosts 270 to chase.
Half centuries from Liam Tegg, Ben Purcell and Dean Lewis offered Whitstable some hope, but James Hands with 4-65 mopped up their middle order however the Whitstable last pair denied Blackheath of a win, Whitstable ending on 241 for nine.
The final game at Bromley was curtailed by the rain, enabling only 44 overs of the second innings to be competed, thus producing an incomplete result.
James Butterfill chose to bat first but Bromley were bowled out for 174. In reply, Sevenoaks Vine appeared in some trouble at 123 for eight when the last of the final twenty overs were bowled.
