5:10pm - That concludes the latest round of LV= County Championship games. Today’s action could not match yesterday’s excitement, but these three draws could count for much at the end of the season.

4:54pm - RESULT! Derbyshire (391) draw with Nottinghamshire (436/8d) at Trent Bridge. Lumb ends unbeaten on a career-best 221 featuring 21 fours and a six. Notts remain fifth in the top flight but Derbyshire are still bottom.

4:50pm - RESULT! Glamorgan (378) draw with Kent (135 & 489/9 f/o) at Canterbury. Shreck, who hit Dean Cosker for six in the last over as the spinner took 5-120, equals his first-class best of 19 as he and Adam Riley are undefeated. The hosts have fought back magnificently after being forced to follow on. The result lifts Kent off the foot of Division Two to eighth, one place behind Glamorgan.

RESULT! Sussex (295 & 201/2d) draw with Surrey (456/9d) at Arundel. Shortly after Nash reaches three figures the players shake hands on a stalemate, a result that was likely once no play was possible on day one. Nash ended on 102 and Joyce 26. Surrey move up a spot to seventh in Division One while Sussex stay third.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: Amazing. A four followed by a huge six gives Lumb a career-best 221 from 291. 28x4 1x6. Incredible knock #NottsvDerbys

4:43pm - Nash raises a century with a single off Arun Harinath. At the end of the over Sussex hold an advantage of 37 with eight wickets remaining.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: WICKET! Another wicket for Turner as Chanderpaul takes a smart catch at deep-square-leg to dismiss Adams for 11; Notts 422-8.

4:32pm - They’re back under way at Canterbury where a stalemate is on the cards.

4:29pm - Turner has his second wicket in three personal overs, Paul Franks playing on for eight, to leave Notts 15 ahead with three first-innings wickets left.

Chris Nash and Ed Joyce share a fifty partnership to all but make Sussex safe.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: 400 for Notts and maximum batting points. Lumb 204* and Franks 5* #NottsvDerbys

4:12pm - Kent reach tea on 475 for nine, 232 in front, a fine effort following on after managing just 135 in their first innings.

Mark Turner bowls Chris Read for 21. Notts lead Derbyshire by four with four first-innings wickets remaining.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: Lumby smashes two away for consecutive boundaries to bring up his 200. 201 n/o from 267, 26x4. Notts 391-5, scores level #NottsvDerbys

4pm - Play resumes at Arundel and Trent Bridge with draws almost certain at both grounds.

3:54pm - Kent number 11 Charlie Shreck gets off the mark with his 300th first-class run, a single off Graham Wagg, which arrives in his 122nd format game.

3:43pm - Cosker has a five-for as the slow left-armer snares Claydon for 40. Kent are, therefore, 468 for nine, 225 in front. With the hosts nine down, tea at Canterbury will likely be delayed.

3:40pm - Ed Joyce nudges Sussex into the lead on the brink of tea, which is taken with the hosts on 162 for two and Nash on 82. It’s hard to see anything other than a draw at Arundel.

It’s also the second interval at Trent Bridge where Notts are 383 for five, eight behind Derbyshire on first innings. Lumb has 193 to his name.

3:38pm - Claydon, on loan from Durham, is going well with 40 as Kent lead by 225 with two wickets intact.

3:14pm - Ansari strikes again to oust Michael Yardy for eight, reducing Sussex to 131 for two.

Kent, who are eight wickets down following on, lead Glamorgan by 200. Have they done enough to earn a draw?

3:11pm - Nash raises a half-century with two off Jade Dernbach and immediately takes the England seamer for three consecutive fours, reducing Sussex’s arrears to 30.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Re-start at 3.09pm - just one over lost...

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Rain! Players leave the field again with Notts 358-5 after 83.3 overs (Lumb 189*, Read 0*). Derbyshire 391.

2:54pm - Wells reaches 50 but, later in the over, falls to Zafar Ansari without addition, meaning Sussex are 107 for one and trail by 54.

2:49pm - Cosker has his fourth wicket, bowling Haggett for 17, to leave Kent eight down. They are 194 in front.

Steven Mullaney edges Tim Groenewald to second slip to go for seven, making Notts 354 for five. Lumb has 189.

2:45pm - Nash and Wells take Sussex to three figures. Although they trail Surrey by 61, a draw seems certain at Arundel, as it does at Trent Bridge - where play has resumed.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Restart at 2.45pm with 47 overs left in the day

2:13pm - Kent are seven down as Geraint Jones, captain in the absence of James Tredwell, is cleaned up by Michael Reed for 15. Scoreless batsmen Calum Haggett and Mitchell Claydon are in situ.

@TrentBridge on Twitter:Just when it looked hopeful of more play - the rain is back and the groundstaff scrambling #NottsvDerbys

2:04pm - Darren Stevens is bowled by Dean Cosker for 119, leaving Kent 399 for five - 156 ahead with four second-innings wickets left. Can Glamorgan quickly wrap up the innings to set a victory target?

There’s still no play at Trent Bridge since lunch.

1:51pm - Chris Nash and Luke Wells share a fifty partnership to diminish Surrey’s faint hopes of victory.

1:40pm - Play resumes at Arundel and Canterbury but there is a rain delay at Trent Bridge.

1pm - Stevens brings up a ton with a six off Dean Cosker on the stroke of lunch, at which point Lumb is unbeaten on 188 for Notts. Here are the lunchtime scores in the LV= County Championship games, which all end today:

Division One

At Trent Bridge Nottinghamshire are 352 for four in reply to Derbyshire’s 391.

Sussex are 35 for none in their second innings, 126 behind Surrey who declared on 456 for nine at Arundel.

Division Two

Kent are 375 for five following on, 132 ahead of Glamorgan at Canterbury.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: Michael Lumb has just reached 175, his highest score while with Notts

12:49pm - Chris Nash and Luke Wells survive the first eight overs of Sussex’s second innings, reaching 20 for none with lunch approaching.

12:44pm - Harmison is run out for 64 to give Glamorgan new hope of victory. His partnership with Stevens was worth 163 but Kent are now 112 ahead with five wickets left.

12:41pm - Wes Durston traps Fletcher in front for 64, ending a stand of 123 and leaving Notts 324 for four - 67 behind Derbyshire.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: Big six into the Fox Road Stand followed by a 4 takes Fletch to 64* and Notts up to 323-3. Lumb 165* #NottsvDerbys

12:23pm - Nightwatchman Fletcher raises a fifty, with Notts now less than 100 behind Derbyshire on first innings. A century partnership soon follows.

The stand between Stevens and Harmison breaches 150 and Kent, following on, lead Glamorgan by more than 100. Could a great escape be on at Canterbury?

12:20pm - Sussex’s second innings begins at Arundel.

@TrentBridge on Twitter: Lumb makes 150 from 186 balls with a tidy four. He's made 20 of them in this knock. Fletch with 48*. Notts 295-3 #NottsvDerbys

12:10pm - Tremlett falls for 54 to former Surrey seamer Chris Jordan, prompting a declaration at 456 for nine with Sussex 161 behind. Tremlett’s innings occupied 33 deliveries and he shared a stand of 76 with Linley, who was unbeaten on 22 from 17 balls. Panesar returned 5-142 from 38 overs.

11:58am - Harmison heralds a half-century with four off Michael Hogan, continuing Kent’s fightback versus Glamorgan.

Tremlett has a fifty from just 29 balls, featuring fours sixes and four fours, as Surrey surely seek to set up a declaration if they are not bowled out?

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Chance! Madsen makes an acrobatic attempt to catch Fletcher (34*) at midwicket but can’t cling on; Notts 267-3 after 61 overs (Lumb 139*).

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Four! Lumb (139*) punches Turner to the boundary and goes to his highest score of the season; Notts 266-3 after 60 overs (Fletcher 33*).

11:48am - Tremlett repeats the trick, again with back-to-back maximums off Magoffin in an over worth 18. Tim Linley then lifts Panesar for six. Surrey hold an advantage of 142.

11:39am - Fletcher hits four fours in a Tim Groenewald over, perhaps hinting at a declaration from Notts?

Similarly, Surrey’s Chris Tremlett strikes Steve Magoffin for two consecutive sixes.

Stevens and Harmison bring up a century partnership shortly before Kent’s lead passes 50.

11:31am - Panesar snares de Bruyn for 111, earning himself a five-for and making Surrey 382 for eight.

Nottinghamshire nightwatchman Luke Fletcher survives the first half-hour at Trent Bridge alongside Michael Lumb. The hosts are 236 for three in reply to Derbyshire’s first-innings 391.

11:27am - Darren Stevens reaches a fifty for Kent, who lead Glamorgan by 34 with six wickets left following on. He and Ben Harmison have added 84.

11:21am - Panesar has Zafar Ansari caught for 13 by England wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior, who is not wearing the gloves in this game, leaving Surrey 372 for seven - 78 ahead of Sussex on first innings.

11:07am - Zander de Bruyn takes a single off Monty Panesar to reach three figures from 188 balls, including 10 fours and a six.

10:50am - While waiting for today’s play to start, why not watch highlights of the third day at Chelmsford on ecb.co.uk/video as Lancashire skittled Essex for 20 to win by an innings and 105 runs?

10:40am - Of the teams in action today, Glamorgan have the best chance of victory. Kent, who were made to follow on, lead them by 11 runs with six wickets left.

Zander de Bruyn is one short of a century for Surrey, who at 363 for six are 68 ahead of Sussex on first innings. Michael Lumb already has a hundred for Nottinghamshire, who at 204 for three are on course to challenge Derbyshire’s first-innings 391.

10:30am - Good morning and welcome to ecb.co.uk’s live text commentary on the three remaining LV= County Championship games, which all end today. Following yesterday’s excitement, including Essex being routed for 20, what will today bring? Here’s how the games stand:
