England wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior has signed a two-year contract extension at Sussex.

The 32-year-old, who has played 75 Tests, 68 one-day internationals and 10 Twenty20s for his country, will remain at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground until at least the end of the 2015 season.

Prior made his first-class debut for Sussex in 2001 and has gone on to register more than 7,500 runs in 144 matches for his county.

He said: “I'm absolutely delighted to sign another contract for Sussex. It is an honour to continue to be part of the club where I have spent my professional career and Hove is a very special place to me.

“I am very much looking forward to helping Sussex compete for trophies again this season and I hope to be a part of future success, something I know that everyone connected with the club works very hard for.”

Sussex professional cricket manager Mark Robinson added: “We’re really delighted to have Matt confirmed for the next two summers.

“He not only brings an incredible playing talent but a lot of experience with him every time he wears the Sussex martlets.”

On signing a new deal at Sussex, wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior said: "It is an honour to continue to be part of the club."
