Former England seamer Matthew Hoggard and England Women all-rounder Danielle Wyatt are set to front the 2014 NatWest CricketForce event at Forton CC, Shropshire on Friday, April 4.
Entering its 13th year, NatWest CricketForce (NWCF) is an ECB grassroots volunteering initiative that encourages clubs to engage with their local communities for help with renovation projects and ground improvements before the new season begins.
A record number of clubs - 2,228 and counting - have registered to put on a NWCF event during the weekend of April 4-6.
Ashes-winners Hoggard and Wyatt will be joined at the showcase event at Forton CC by Mike Gatting, ECB’s Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships. The trio will join an army of volunteers from the club, local community and NatWest staff to clean, tidy, repair and revitalise the clubhouse and ground.
The event will run from 9am–4pm, with a media opportunity with Hoggard, Wyatt and Gatting from 12pm–1pm. Media are welcome to arrive prior to 12pm to see the event in action.
