Lydia Greenway is excited ahead of the key Women's World Twenty20 encounter with India on Wednesday, where England will look to get their campaign back on track.

Following the nine-run defeat to West Indies in their opening tournament match, a win is a must for Charlotte Edwards’ side as they bid for a top-two finish to reach the semi-final stage.

But having so little margin for error is welcomed by Greenway, who will appear in her 67th T20 international tomorrow.

“In terms of the pressure, I think it’s something that we really thrive on,” she told ecb.co.uk.

“It was really disappointing to lose yesterday, but it’s the kind of tournament where you can’t dwell on it too much and we definitely haven’t done that.

"We’ve just got back from a really good training session so there’s a lot of positive energy flying around for tomorrow.”

India began their campaign with a defeat to Sri Lanka yesterday, though that came under the floodlights in Sylhet while England’s game was earlier on in the day.

England Women get some floodlit training in ahead of facing India in their second fixture of the World Twenty20 on Wednesday. "Trying to track the ball out of the lights is really crucial," said Lydia Greenway after the sessionThe match tomorrow will be played in the dark and Greenway highlighted the importance of adapting to the conditions, with today’s training session compelted at night.

She said: “We need to get those sessions in under the lights because we’re going to be playing under them tomorrow. Especially fielding and trying to track the ball out of the lights is really crucial.

“We had a really good session and we’re looking forward to tomorrow.”

England have a strong record against India, winning seven of the nine T20Is that have taken place between the sides, but Greenway stressed that the research into their opponents has been as thorough as ever.

“We’ve played them a lot over the years and they’ve got a lot of big players that we’ve identified and they’ve also got a few new players coming in as well,” she said.

“We’ve been starting to formulate plans which we can put into action tomorrow."

The opening defeat to West Indies saw Rebecca Grundy and Jodie Dibble make their format debuts for England.

Greenway praised the setup that England Women have in place for the way the pair seamlessly transitioned into the team

She said: “Because of the system that we have in place with the academy, the girls coming in are very much familiar with the environment and they know what to expect.

“Jodie and Becky have done very well and offer us something different with left-arm spin. They are really good additions to the squad.”
