Sussex have confirmed that the Horsham Festival of Cricket will go ahead thanks to an anonymous benefactor.
The event, which this year will see Sussex host Warwickshire in the LV= County Championship and Notts Outlaws in the Royal London One-Day Cup at Horsham Cricket Club in the week commencing July 21.
There had been a fear that a lack finances would mean the games would instead have to take place at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.
But Sussex chief executive Zac Toumazi confirmed that the funds were received to ensure that the county could play at Cricketfield Road once again.
He said: “Personally I am delighted that the Festival will be proceeding this year. We have had some sponsors come forward but without the substantial donation from an anonymous benefactor, it would not be going ahead.
“It is now up to all of us to make the Festival the most successful ever and work hard to attract sponsorship for 2015 and beyond. We must avoid this situation reoccurring."
The four-day game against Warwickshire begins on Monday July 21, with the 50-over clash with Notts taking place on Sunday July 27.
