Danni Wyatt saluted Charlotte Edwards and Sarah Taylor after the pair led England to a stunning nine-wicket victory which sealed the Women's Ashes.

Chasing 151 in Hobart, Wyatt was the sole England wicket to fall but Edwards and Taylor responded with a wonderful 114-run stand to see the visitors home.

Danni Wyatt celebrates taking the important wicket of Jess Cameron as England beat Australia in HobartWhen Edwards hit the winning runs there were still 13 deliveries left, which showed how comfortable a chase it was.

"I missed out on a belter of a wicket but who cares?" a pragmatic Wyatt told ecb.co.uk.

"Charlotte Edwards and Sarah Taylor went out there and were my heroes once again. It was an amazing chase."

After winning the Test and first one-day international, England needed just one victory from the remaining five matches to retain the Women's Ashes.

Australia, however, had other ideas and won the next two ODIs to reduce the points deficit to 8-4.

But England were not to be denied and Wyatt revealed mixed emotions after the tourists wrapped up the series with two games remaining.

"It's an absolutely amazing feeling once again," she said. "Such a relief that we've won it here in beautiful Hobart.

"We will really enjoy tonight."

Although Wyatt missed out with the bat - she made just six - the all-rounder did her part with the ball, taking the crucial wicket of Jess Cameron and conceding just 29 runs from four overs.

"I tried bowling around the wicket and contain on this small ground," Wyatt explained.

"I've done well in the past coming around the wicket so I just relaxed and bowled straight.

"I love Twenty20 - it's my game. I love playing on the big stage with a smile on my face and that's what I did today."
